  • Publication number: 20100098077
Abstract: A status message is sent by each node a group of nodes in a network to other nodes in the group using a multicast and/or broadcast channel of the network to identify the nodes in the group. The status message includes a piece of information about a data segment to be received by the nodes in the group via the multicast and/or broadcast channel. At least one of the nodes in the group requests the data segment via a point-to-point transmission channel from a source node. The data segment is sent to the other node(s) in the group via the multicast and/or broadcast channel.

  • Publication number: 20100030861
Abstract: A method produces a data stream. The data stream is subdivided into at least one data segment. A key which is associated unambiguously with that data segment is created. A node is selected from a set of nodes in a network for that data segment on the basis of the key associated with that data segment, and the data segment is transmitted to the node selected for that data segment. Furthermore, a method calls at least one data segment in a data stream by a receiver node. A key which is associated unambiguously with that data segment is produced. A node is selected from a set of nodes in the network for the data segment on the basis of the key associated with that data segment. A request message is sent to the selected node to transmit the data segment associated with the key, and the data segment is received by the receiver.

  • Publication number: 20090136138
Abstract: A method determines a predicted image area for an image area, in which a temporal predictor for the image area is determined based on a reconstructed image that precedes said image, a local predictor for the image area is determined within a reconstructed image area of the image, a margin of error between the image area and the image area predicted image area is determined by the local predictor using the reconstructed image area and by the temporal predictor using one of the preceding images. A predicted image area can be reconstructed. Also disclosed are an establishing device for carrying out the method for determining a predicted image area as well as a reconstructing device for carrying out the reconstruction method.

  • Patent number: 7420971
Abstract: A method is described for transmitting a byte stream (1) from a transmitter unit to a receiver unit in a network protocol, with the following steps: Removal of at least one data area (4a,4b) of the byte stream (1) from the byte stream, Transmission to the receiving unit of information relating to which data area (4a,4b) or which data areas (4a,4b) has or have been removed from the byte stream (1) and/or relating to the way in which the shortened byte stream is to be further processed, Transmission of the byte stream (5) shortened by at least one data area (4a, 4b) to the receiver unit, which, from the information and the shortened byte stream, determines and further processes the at least one data area removed by the transmitter unit.

  • Patent number: 7397856
Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for storing and processing picture information of temporally successive pictures wherein in each case at least one picture area is selected from each temporally preceding picture taking into account, the picture information determined from each selected picture area is stored with an assignment information item, which enables an assignment of the respective picture area and thus also of the picture information of the respective picture area to the corresponding picture and to the position of the picture area within the corresponding picture, at least one mixed picture is formed from the picture information of the respectively stored, selected picture areas, taking the account of the assignment information, and the mixed picture is used in the context of a motion estimation, a motion compensation or an error masking for an image.

  • Publication number: 20080003887
Abstract: Angled plug having a device which converts a pull applied to a power cable connected to the angled plug in such a way that it causes the angled plug to be forced out of a socket. • Patent number: 7039107
Abstract: In a method and arrangement for processing a digitized picture with pixels, pixels of the picture are grouped into picture blocks. The picture is segmented into at least a first picture object and a second picture object, at least one picture block being assigned at least to a part of an edge of the first picture object. Information about the picture object is assigned to the at least one picture block.

  • Patent number: 7023916
Abstract: A method and arrangement are provided for motion estimation in a digitized picture having pixels, the pixels being grouped into picture blocks. The pixels can be grouped into at least a first picture area and a second picture area. First motion estimation is carried out in a first search area in order to determine a first motion vector. Furthermore, second motion estimation is carried out in a second search area in order to determine a second motion vector. The first search area and the second search area are of different sizes.

  • Publication number: 20040233992
Abstract: According to the invention, there are provided sets of contexts specifically adapted to encode special coefficients of a prediction error matrix, on the basis of previously encoded values of level k. Furthermore, the number of values of levels other than 0 is explicitly encoded and numbers of appropriate contexts are selected on the basis of the number of spectral coefficients other than 0.

  • Publication number: 20030138046
Abstract: Spectral coefficients of a transformed prediction error matrix are linearized and converted to a sequence of levels and lengths by scanning. The level coefficients are arranged by sorting on the basis of their magnitude. The level sequence resulting from this, as well as sorting information, are subjected to differential coding.

  • Publication number: 20030059119
Abstract: According to the invention, at least one image region is selected from each temporally preceding image that is considered, and the associated image information is stored with an item of allocation information. At least one mixed image is formed from the item of image information while taking the respective item of allocation information into account. • Patent number: 4583847
Abstract: The invention relates to an improvement for a wafer mounting table particularly for use in photolithographic apparatus for processing wafers comprising a compact mounting block made of glass-ceramics which has two neighboring back supports limiting two sides of a top face of said mounting block. The top face is provided with at least three studs for supporting a wafer to be processed. The sides of the back-supports facing away from said top face are provided with an elongated horizontally extending silvered area each, which is in opposition to a laser path measuring system each. The laser beams of said laser path measuring system define a plane which coincides with a projection plane of a projection lens being provided in opposition to a wafer mounted on said studs. Means are provided for substantially eliminating departures of the silvered areas from a straight plane. Further means are provided which enable a quick adaption of the laser mount for wafer charges having different thicknesses or diameters.
