  • Patent number: 6408707
Abstract: A plate spring body (support member) elastically supports an inner gear (second bevel gear) relative to an outer gear (first bevel gear). Ring springs (fluctuation suppressing member) are further provided to reinforce the elastic support, so as to suppress fluctuation of the inner gear along a direction nearly perpendicular to an axis connecting the center of rotation of the outer gear and contact part with a hypoid pinion gear (third bevel gear).

  • Patent number: 6362865
Abstract: A liquid crystal display apparatus is provided with an array substrate including a first substrate, a switching element formed on the first substrate, an interlayer insulating film formed so as to cover the switching element, a pixel electrode formed on the interlayer insulating film and connected to the switching element via a contact hole formed in the interlayer insulating film, an alignment film formed so as to cover the pixel electrode, and a spacer formed under the alignment film. A flattening layer made with the same material as that of the spacer is arranged between the pixel electrode and the alignment film within a region corresponding to the contact hole.

  • Patent number: 5825445
Abstract: In an electooptical liquid crystal device comprising an OCB mode liquid crystal cell and an optically anisotropic element compensating a viewing angle characteristics of the cell, the optically anisotropic element satisfies the elliptical coefficient Z of the index ellipsoid of the optically anisotropic element,7.ltoreq.Z.ltoreq.10,if Z=(ndx-ndz)/(ndx-ndy),where ndx, ndy and ndz represent the components in x, y and z directions of the products of the refractive indice n of optically anisotropic element and the thickness of the optically anisotropic element, when the optically anisotropic element is combined with the bend-aligned liquid crystal cell as the electrooptical liquid crystal device.

  • Patent number: 5560318
Abstract: A method of raising sea-water fish is performed by raising the sea-water fish in water in a display tank which includes a device for circulating the water in the tank, a filtering material supporting plate having a sand-like filtering material containing calcium therein. In this case, the grain size of the sand-like filtering material is set between 2.5-3.5 mm. Coral sand is preferably used as the sand-like material, since it promotes the propagation of aerobic bacteria and converts ammonia and nitric acid to harmless materials and the above grain size exhibits better effect.

  • Patent number: 5409275
Abstract: A retaining device for an electronic apparatus comprising a plurality of cases respectively containing individual component mechanisms of a small electronic apparatus, a magnet disposed in a recess formed in a surface of a first case among the plurality of cases; and a magnetic member provided on a second case among the plurality of cases. In this device, the magnet attracts the magnetic member to fix the respective positions of the first case and the second case relative to each other when the first case and the second case are set contiguously with the magnet and the magnetic member disposed opposite to each other.

  • Patent number: 5248208
Abstract: An assembly is formed of a first core and a second core on which cores an ink ribbon is wound and a supporting member detachably supporting the first and second cores so as to keep them a predetermined distance. The assembly is set into a setting hole formed on a bottom plate of a cassette body, the setting hole being divided into a first hole part for rotatably supporting the first core, a second hole part for rotatably supporting the second core, and a third hole part connecting the first and second hole parts which are a predetermined distance from each other, the distance between the first and second cores supported by the supporting member corresponding to the distance between the first and second hole parts.
