  • Patent number: 11945234
Abstract: A method for transferring objects includes providing a medium in a reservoir, the medium containing objects; providing a substrate having an acceptor surface, the acceptor surface facing an opening of the reservoir; determining a first target focus point in the medium; and generating a first laser pulse or first laser pulse train focused onto the first target focus point. Pulse intensity of the first laser pulse or pulse train at the first target focus point and/or pulse duration of the first laser pulse or pulse train is/are chosen to generate a droplet of the medium ejected towards the acceptor surface. A center wavelength of the first laser pulse or pulse train is larger than 500 nm, larger than 650 nm, or between 0.9 ?m and 1.35 ?m. The first target focus point is determined relative to the position of at least one object of the objects.

  • Publication number: 20240098388
Abstract: A power tool having multiple wireless communication states and a method of wirelessly communicating by a power tool. The power tool includes a motor, a battery pack interface that selectively receives a battery pack, a backup power source, and a wireless communication controller coupled to the backup power source and the battery pack interface. The wireless communication controller operates in a connectable state when coupled to a battery pack and transmits tool operational data to the external device and receives tool configuration data from the external device. The wireless communication controller operates in an advertisement state when the wireless communication controller is coupled to and powered by the backup power source. In the advertisement state, the wireless communication controller is configured to transmit the unique tool identifier. The external device may also display an indication of the communication state of the power tool.

  • Publication number: 20240065807
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to capturing a 3-dimensional representation of a patient's face from multiple angles to be integrated with (fused) with at least a 3-dimensional intra-oral mesh of the patient's teeth for purposes of visualizing a dental treatment plan. In one aspect, a method includes capturing media of a patient's face from multiple angles, using at least one device; transforming the media into a 3-dimensional representation of the patient's face; and transmitting, the 3-dimensional representation of the patient's face to one or more processing components to be integrated with a 3-dimensional representation of the patient's intra-oral scan to visualize a dental treatment plan for the patient.

  • Publication number: 20240070780
Abstract: A computing device facilitates selection of (i) a data-object currency for a data object of a construction project and (ii) an exchange rate for converting between the data-object currency and a project currency. Based on project-level currency settings and permissions information, currency options from which a given user is permitted to select a data-object currency for the data object are identified and presented for selection. After selection of the data-object currency, based on the permissions information and information about the data object, exchange rate options from which the given user is permitted to select an exchange rate for converting between the data-object currency and the project currency are identified and presented for selection. After selection of the exchange rate, cost values for line items of the data object are converted from the data-object currency to the project currency using the exchange rate and dynamically updated based on cost value modifications.

  • Patent number: 8444397
Abstract: An attenuating apparatus for use with a positive displacement compressor. The device includes a bore formed in a housing of the compressor, the bore being positioned at an angle to a discharge chamber of the compressor and in fluid communication with the compressor discharge chamber. A plug is positioned within the bore, the plug movable within the bore to a preselected position. The plug has a first end in contact with a gas from the compressor discharge chamber and a second, opposite end being accessible from an exterior of the housing. A seal is positioned between the plug and the bore to seal an interface between the plug and the bore to prevent leakage of a gas from the compressor discharge chamber along the interface. The plug is lockable within the bore at the preselected position.

  • Patent number: 8267116
Abstract: A backflow and strainer device is presented. The device is a unitary unit that prevents backflow of fluid gas in a compressor and prevents dirt particles and debris from entering the compressor, thereby damaging the components. A valve mechanism moves between an open position and a closed position to either allow or prevent fluid gas from flowing into the compressor. A mesh portion is disposed in the device to trap all dirt particles and debris to prevent them from entering the compressor. The valve mechanism responds to the higher and lower pressures associated with the operation and shutdown of compressors.

  • Patent number: 7470112
Abstract: A split runner for a Francis turbine has runner segments that are adapted to be joined together along confronting surface portions thereof to form a composite runner having a crown, a band and a plurality of blades extending between the crown and the band. The confronting surface portions of the runner segments are located only along portions of the crown and portions of the band, and the confronting surface portions of the runner segments are located in between and spaced from adjacent blades of the composite runner. Since the confronting surface portions are located only along portions of the crown and portions of the band, none of the blades are split eliminating the need to weld together blades during formation of the composite runner. Accordingly, the composite runner does not have weld joints formed in the blades which are highly stressed operating parts of the runner.

  • Publication number: 20060248647
Abstract: A device for supporting blankets on a bed, for creating a space to provide room for a person's feet to be unconstricted and unbothered by the weight of the blankets. The device may include a base member for positioning between a mattress and box springs in a conventional bed. A pair of side supports may be joined to the base member on opposite sides of the bed. The side supports may include telescoping members that may be adjusted in length and locked in place in raised or lowered positions. A rail may be joined to the side supports to extend across the bed such that blankets on the bed may be draped over the rail. When the side supports are in a raised position, a space may be provided for the persons feet, whereas when the side supports are lowered, the device may be virtually undetectable under the blankets.

  • Patent number: 7072859
Abstract: The customer selects products from the manufacturer's web site and places them into an electronic shopping cart administered by the manufacturer's site. Instead of proceeding through a checkout line at the manufacturer's site, the system captures all pertinent information regarding the customer's selections and forwards them to a retail site designated by the manufacturer or of the customer's choosing. The transfer of shopping cart information is effected so that the customer finds himself or herself directly in the checkout line of the designated retailer, thereby eliminating the need to fill a shopping cart through product selection at the retail site.
