  • Patent number: 7072859
Abstract: The customer selects products from the manufacturer's web site and places them into an electronic shopping cart administered by the manufacturer's site. Instead of proceeding through a checkout line at the manufacturer's site, the system captures all pertinent information regarding the customer's selections and forwards them to a retail site designated by the manufacturer or of the customer's choosing. The transfer of shopping cart information is effected so that the customer finds himself or herself directly in the checkout line of the designated retailer, thereby eliminating the need to fill a shopping cart through product selection at the retail site.

  • Patent number: 6980770
Abstract: A mobile communications apparatus (84) for wireless communication with a fixed mount marine radio (82) is disclosed. A radio-frequency communicator (120) is selectively operable to transmit wireless communications to the fixed mount marine radio (82) in a sending mode and to receive wireless communications from the fixed mount marine radio (82) in a receiving mode. A speaker (114) and microphone (112) are coupled to the radio-frequency communicator (120) to enable audio communication. An actuator (122) operates the radio-frequency communicator (120) between the sending mode and the receiving mode.

  • Patent number: 4838167
Abstract: A method suitable for protecting targets against attacking projectiles as rockets consist in producing an infrared jamming radiator which radiator jams the infrared target finder of the attacking projectile. The jamming radiator is produced in the vicinity of the target and may be embodied by a jammer cloud consisting of burning particles, preferably foil strips, emitting an infrared radiation more intensive than the infrared radiation of the target and staying sufficiently long in the air as to divert the rocket from the target. The strips are stowed in a container which is emitted from the target and distributes the ignited strips into the airspace near the target.

  • Patent number: 4186664
Abstract: This invention relates to a shell filling comprising smoke pots which are stacked one above the other in the firing direction in the shell casing and which consist of a closed metal housing and, accommodated therein, a smoke charge based on hexachloroethane, zinc oxide and metal powder, and to a process for producing smoke pots for shell fillings of this type.

  • Patent number: 4140326
Abstract: An accessory for a skateboard which comprises a plastic wedge with through apertures for receiving fasteners to secure the wedge to selected portions of a skateboard. The wedge has dimensions of a width approximating the width of the skateboard and a length permitting it to be mounted behind the rear truck on the undersurface of a skateboard with its thick, trailing edge adjacent the rear edge of the skateboard, whereby the wedge can serve as a skid or pivot plate. The wedge also has appropriate dimensions and an occluded angle permitting it to be mounted on the upper surface of a skateboard at the fore and aft ends to convert a skateboard having a flat deck to a single or double kicktail board.

  • Patent number: 3961579
Abstract: A destructive device for the destruction of equipment such as machines, tanks, and tank gun barrels for example, includes a casing, an alumino-thermic mixture carried therein, and an ignition fuse. The mixture is arranged such that, upon ignition, a heat-generating interreaction is produced for a certain reaction period. The casing is arranged to resist being carbonized by the heat generated by such reaction only for a period substantially commensurate with the reaction period. Consequently, the device may be significantly reduced in size and weight. The casing may comprise a low heat-conductive paper material which also serves to maximize the shock resistibility of the device.
