  • Patent number: 9544393
Abstract: A persona determination approach can be utilized to apply digital personas across multiple communications domains. A service gateway can determine whether to transfer a request for communications services to a Persona Determination Mechanism (PDM). The PDM can select a digital persona based on available information and transmit the digital persona to the service gateway. The service gateway can process the communications services based on the selected digital persona or based on the determination not to transfer the request. In some methods, the service gateway can forward the processed request to one or more network elements for further processing. Related systems are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20160162601
Abstract: Methods, computer-readable media and apparatuses for presenting a first relationship graph are disclosed. A processor calculates a communication priority score for each of a number of contacts of a user. The communication priority score is based upon a communication priority score factor and a weighting. The processor determines a subset of the plurality of contacts having communication priority scores above a threshold, and generates the first relationship graph including an icon representing the user and a plurality of shapes overlapping the icon representing the user. Each shape is associated with one of a plurality of social groups of the user. Each shape includes a second icon representing a contact of the subset of the plurality of contacts that is a member of a social group that is associated with a shape. The processor presents a graphical input field for changing the weighting of the communication priority score factor.

  • Publication number: 20140136670
Abstract: Concepts and technologies are disclosed herein for controlling network traffic using acceleration policies. According to various embodiments of the concepts and technologies disclosed herein, an acceleration application can be executed by a device for analyzing data requests, determining if the data communications requested by way of the request can be delayed, accelerated, or otherwise modified (“shifted”) based upon policies and/or network operating conditions. In some embodiments, the acceleration application can be configured to access acceleration policies that can define how certain traffic is to be shifted. The acceleration application also can be configured to obtain and analyze network data to determine network operating conditions and determine, based upon the determined conditions, if traffic is to be shifted based upon the network operating conditions.
