The raw data includes a representation of an object. The apparatus further includes a memory storage unit to store the raw data. In addition, the apparatus includes a pre-processing engine to generate a segmentation map from the raw data. The segmentation map is to outline the object. Furthermore, the apparatus includes a neural network engine to generate a mechanical heatmap for a predefined key-point connector based on the segmentation map. The mechanical heatmap includes a mechanical weight index of the predefined key-point connector for each pixel.

    Abstract: A fluid pump includes a motor disposed within an outer housing. The motor includes a stator and a rotor in electromagnetic communication with the stator. Windings are disposed on the stator that receive an electric current for defining the electromagnetic communication. A pump element is attached to the rotor via a drive shaft. The pump element operates with the rotor to deliver a fluid through a hydraulic fluid path. A plurality of sensors measure information related to at least one of the stator, the windings, the rotor, the pump element, the fluid and the hydraulic fluid path. A controller is in communication with the windings for delivering the electric current to the windings. The controller is also in communication with the plurality of sensors for measuring and recording the information and communicating this information to one of an external memory and an external controller.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for measuring quantum states of qubits with more than two levels are provided. A method can include, for a plurality of shuffling sequences, applying, by a quantum computer, one or more quantum gates to the one or more qubits to execute a quantum algorithm; applying, by the quantum computer, a shuffling sequence to the one or more qubits; and measuring, using a readout apparatus, the state of the one or more qubits to determine a readout state. The method can further include determining, by a classical computer or the quantum computer, an average occupation for one or more of the quantum states of the one or more qubits using the readout states for each of the shuffling sequences. The readout states can correspond to a state in a subset of the quantum states of the one or more qubits.

    Abstract: The present specification discloses devices and methodologies for the treatment of transient lower esophageal sphincter relaxations (tLESRs). Individuals with tLESRs may be treated by implanting a stimulation device within the patient's lower esophageal sphincter and applying electrical stimulation to the patient's lower esophageal sphincter, in accordance with certain predefined protocols. The presently disclosed devices have a simplified design because they do not require sensing systems capable of sensing when a person is engaged in a wet swallow and have improved energy storage requirements.

    Abstract: Consistent with the present disclosure, a local oscillator is provided in a receiver. The local oscillator laser a first and second mirrors and phase section and heaters are provided adjacent each portion of the laser, such that the temperature and thus the frequency of light output from the local oscillator laser may be tuned. Applying electrical power, such as a current or voltage to the phase section may result in rapid frequency tuning of light output from the local oscillator laser but over a limited frequency range. Temperature changes to the mirror sections, however, may afford frequency tuning over a wider range, but frequency tuning the mirror sections requires more time than that required to tune the phase section. Consistent with the present disclosure, a tuning method and apparatus is provided that optimizes laser tuning by selectively tuning the phase and mirror sections.
