  • Publication number: 20150269675
Abstract: System and methods for performing trade-time credit checks to guarantee the availability of credit to clear and settle trades for market participants are disclosed. In one embodiment, an order to buy or sell an amount of a financial instrument is received by the system. The system then determines an amount of a credit support financial instrument available for the market participant. The credit support financial instrument is a synthetically created financial instrument that is issued on an exchange for a market participant. The system then determines whether the amount of the credit support financial instrument available is enough to cover the order and if so, the system executes the order. The system then depletes the amount of the credit support financial instrument available for a subsequent trade by the amount of the executed trade to reflect the reduction in availability of credit for subsequent trades.

  • Patent number: 8805554
Abstract: A notch filter includes first, second, and third difference modules, a delay module, and a gain module. The first difference module calculates a first difference between a control signal in a pulse width modulation (PWM) system and a feedback value. The second difference module calculates a second difference between the first difference and a delayed second difference. The delay module generates the delayed second difference by introducing a one period delay to the second difference, wherein the period is based on a Nyquist frequency of the control signal. The gain module generates the feedback value by applying a gain to the delayed second difference. The third difference module generates a filtered control signal by calculating a difference between the signal and the feedback value, wherein the filtered control signal is used to control an operating parameter of the PWM system.

  • Publication number: 20140129407
Abstract: A method and system for filling orders based on time of order entry and liquidity allocation are disclosed. A trading system having an order fulfillment engine, receives orders to trade a financial instrument. Each order may specify an order size and a trade side. The system identifies a trade side with aggregate order size larger than that of an opposing trade side and determines a priority for executing orders on the identified trade side based on available liquidity and time of order entry. The one or more orders on the identified trade side are then executed according to the determined priority.

  • Patent number: 8698469
Abstract: A system includes a sinc filter module and a cyclic integrator module. The sinc filter module (i) determines a direct current (DC) voltage component of an error between a measured output voltage of a switched-mode power supply and a reference voltage and (ii) determines a signal with ripple by subtracting the determined DC voltage component from the error. The cyclic integrator module (i) applies a learning gain to a difference between the determined signal with ripple and a predicted ripple, (ii) performs integration of each of N segments of the gain-applied difference, and (iii) generates the predicted ripple by reconstructing the N integrated segments, wherein N is an integer greater than one.
