  • Patent number: 10190191
Abstract: A method (400) for producing a titanium product is disclosed. The method (400) can include obtaining TiO2-slag (401), and producing a titanium product from the TiO2-slag using a metallic reducing agent (402) at a moderate temperature and a pressure to directly produce a titanium product chemically separated from metal impurities in the TiO2 slag (403). The titanium product can comprise TiH2 and optionally elemental titanium. Impurities in the titanium product can then removed (404) by leaching, purifying and separation to form a purified titanium product.

  • Publication number: 20190015062
Abstract: Provided are an imaging system and method based on multiple-gamma photon coincidence events. The imaging system includes: a plurality of detector assemblies arranged in a non-parallel manner, a time coincidence module and a computer platform. Each detector assembly includes a collimator and a detector configured to measure time and to detect a multiple-gamma photon coincidence event constituted by a plurality of single-gamma photon events cascade-emitted by a radionuclide within a short time. The method is configured to determine validity of the multiple-gamma photon coincidence event, calculate a plurality of non-parallel projection lines where the decay of the radionuclide takes place, determine a location where the decay of the radionuclide takes place according to the non-parallel projection lines, and obtain a distribution of the radionuclide in the subject according to the location where the decay of the radionuclide takes places.

  • Publication number: 20190005191
Abstract: Work described herein reveals 3D regulatory landscapes of hESCs representative of early human development. This work also demonstrates that cohesin-associated CTCF loops, and the cohesin-associate enhancer-promoter loops within them, dominate the organization of TADs. The CTCF-CTCF loops form a chromosomal scaffold of insulated neighborhoods that are largely preserved in vertebrates, and enhancer-promoter interactions occur within these neighborhoods. Genes are regulated in the context of conserved insulated neighborhood structures. Loss of neighborhood structures occurs frequently in cancer cells, and proto-oncogenes can be activated by genetic alterations that disrupt specific 3D chromosome structures.

  • Publication number: 20180302432
Abstract: Managing rogue devices in a network through a network backhaul. A rogue device is detected in a network and a rogue device message that includes the rogue device is sent to a plurality of switches in a backhaul of the network. The rogue device is added into a rogue monitor table. Whether the rogue device is In-Net or Out-Of-Net is determined using forwarding tables of the plurality of switches in the backhaul of the network and the rogue monitor table. Mitigation is performed using a nearest switch to the rogue device of the plurality of switches in the backhaul of the network if it is determined that the rogue device is In-Net.

  • Publication number: 20170194721
Abstract: A novel electrical connector and method of manufacture is disclosed which provides an integral attachment and retention means for the purpose of electrically and mechanically interconnecting circuit elements in electronic devices, said circuit elements including but not limited to printed circuit boards, flexible printed circuits, rigid flex circuits, semiconductor package substrates, modules, and batteries. The electrical connector of the present invention utilizes a bonding material, disposed at least between the electrical spring contact elements on a surface of the connector, to bond and retain first and second portions of the electrical connector in an actuated state on a mating circuit element whereby stable and low resistance electrical interconnections are formed and maintained between the electrical connector and interconnection terminals on the mating circuit element. This design permits the electrical connector to be low-profile and use a reduced amount of space on a circuit member such as a PCB.

  • Publication number: 20160321703
Abstract: An online system receives information describing a target group of online system users from a third party system that includes one or more user properties, which may identify an action performed by a an online user within a time interval to include the user in the target group. When an opportunity to present advertisement requests to a user is identified, the online system retrieves actions associated with the user and times associated with the actions. If an action associated with the user matches the action identified by the user properties and occurred within the time interval identified by the user properties, and other characteristics of the user satisfy at least a threshold number of the user properties, the online system includes the user in the target group. Advertisement requests having targeting criteria, including the target group, satisfied by characteristics of the user are evaluated for presentation to the user.

  • Publication number: 20160300268
Abstract: An online system receives information describing a target group of online system users from a third party system that includes one or more user properties, which may identify actions to be performed by an online system user for inclusion in the target group. Additionally, information describing the target group includes metadata associated with the user properties identifying access to the user properties by additional third party systems. If an additional third party system requests access to the target group or to the user properties describing the target group, the online system determines whether the additional third party system is authorized to access the target group or the user properties based on the metadata. Further, the online system determines an amount of compensation the third party system is to receive if the additional third party system is authorized to access the target group or the user properties based on the metadata.
