Publication number: 20090220510Abstract: The invention relates to specific binding members, particularly antibodies and active fragments thereof, which recognize an aberrant post-translationally modified, particularly an aberrant glycosylated form of the EGFR. The binding members, particularly antibodies and fragments thereof, of the invention do not bind to EGFR on normal cells in the absence of amplification of the wild-type gene and are capable of binding the de2-7 EGFR at an epitope which is distinct from the junctional peptide. Antibodies of this type are exemplified by the novel antibody 806 whose VH and VL sequences are illustrated as SEQ ID NOs: 2 and 4 and chimeric antibodies thereof as exemplified by ch806.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 23, 2008Publication date: September 3, 2009Inventors: Lloyd J. Publication number: 20080276239Abstract: A method of operating a data processing system comprises executing a batch application, the executing comprising reading one or more inputs from one or more data files, performing updates on one or more records according to the or each input read from a data file, and issuing a syncpoint when said updates are completed. During the execution of the batch application, syncpoints are periodically issued and checkpoints are less frequently issued. Following detection of a failure of the batch application, the batch application is restarted with the last issued checkpoint, and the batch application is executed by reading one or more inputs from one or more data files, but not performing updates on said records, until the last issued syncpoint is reached.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 23, 2008Publication date: November 6, 2008Applicant: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Bryan Peter Collins, Graeme Denis McRobert, Arthur James Neil

Publication number: 20080120618Abstract: The present invention discloses a solution that automatically decomposes a batch process into multiple units of work without changing code of a preexisting batch application. In the solution, the batch application is first analyzed to identify a set of processing segments or units of work, where each unit of work is of a size that minimizes interference with other data accesses. Once each unit of work is defined, these units can execute one at a time. A syncpoint can be established for each unit before it is executed, which locks the records included in the unit. After the unit of work executes, the record lock can be released and a new syncpoint can be established for the next unit. If an execution problem occurs, execution for the unit of work can be terminated and chances can be restored to the syncpoint.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 20, 2007Publication date: May 22, 2008Applicant: INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORPORATIONInventors: BRYAN PETER COLLINS, GRAEME DENIS MCROBERT, ARTHUR JAMES NEIL

Publication number: 20070150356Abstract: A system and method for validating adherence of an UII identifier code to one of several prescribed DOD codes by means of a programmed series of tests. First the code is tested for a prescribed header and a last character message. If one or the other is not found, the process stops and an error message is displayed. Field separator characters are identified that divide the message into fields. If the header, end of message character, and field separator are found and tested successfully, the program proceeds, and searches for an identifier of one of the DOD prescribed semantic formats. The semantic format identifier is extracted and tested. If valid, the process proceeds. If not, an error message is displayed. In proceeding, each field is stored, and the data from each field is extracted in accordance with the format identifier that had been extracted.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 11, 2006Publication date: June 28, 2007Applicant: A2B Tracking Solutions, Inc.Inventors: Christos Kapsambelis, Peter Collins, David Collins

Publication number: 20060159703Abstract: Attenuated respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and vaccine compositions thereof are produced by introducing specific mutations associated with attenuating phenotypes into wild-type or RSV which is incompletely attenuated by cold-passage or introduction of mutations which produce virus having a temperature sensitive (ts) or cold adapted (ca) phenotype. Alternatively, recombinant RSV and vaccine compositions thereof incorporate attenuating and other mutations specifying desired structural and or phenotypic characteristics in an infectious RSV. Recombinant RSV incorporate desired mutations specified by insertion, deletion, substitution or rearrangement of a selected nucleotide sequence, gene, or gene segment in an infectious RSV clone. The immune system of an individual is stimulated to induce protection against natural RSV infection, or multivalently against infection by RSV and another pathogen, such as PIV, by administration of attenuated, biologically derived or recombinant RSV.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 2, 2004Publication date: July 20, 2006Inventors: Brian Murphy, Peter Collins, Stephen Whitehead, Alexander Bukreyev, Katalin Juhasz, Michael Teng
