Abstract: New benzo[b][1,8]naphthyridine derivatives of general formula (I), in which R is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl, fluoroalkyl, cycloalkyl (3 to 6 C), alkoxy or alkylamino radical or an amine protective radical and either Hal is a fluorine, chlorine or bromine atom and R' is a hydrogen atom or Hal and R' are simultaneously fluorine atoms, their salts, their preparation and the compositions which contain them.These new products can be used as antimicrobial agents for topical application or as synthesis intermediates.

Abstract: A device for correcting the trim attitude of an automotive vehicle, comprising a pair of links associated with either one of the front and rear sets of wheels of the automotive vehicle, each link being mounted in pivotally bearing relationship on the body and comprising a first end secured to a swinging arm and a second bent lever-like end adapted to act through rods upon a hydraulic valve for controlling a power jack acting between the suspension element of a wheel and one of the ends of an anti-tilt bar arranged transversely of the vehicle and the other end of which is rigidly connected to the suspension element of the other wheel.

Abstract: In the manufacture of a 2-ply sheet of the type which includes on one surface thereof a self-healing polymeric material and on the other surface an adhesive polymeric material capable of adhering at elevated temperatures to a glass or plastic surface, the improvement comprising forming said adhesive polymeric material from a blocked polyurethane or a water soluble or water dispersible polyurethane, and preferably from a polyurethane that has blocked NCO groups and is water soluble or water dispersible.

Abstract: An improved process for making a multiple pane fire resistant window whose spacings are filled with an aqueous gel possessing multiple carbon bonds, wherein the improvement comprises placing a thin layer of an adherence agent on the contact surface of the panes, prior to placing the aqueous gel in the spacing. The adherence gel is selected from the group consisting essentially of organic titanates, organic zirconates, and silanes able to react with the aqueous gel's multiple carbon bonds.

Abstract: A telephone amplifier and attenuator circuit comprising an amplifier and an attenuator inserted in the transmit channel and an attenuator inserted in the receive channel of a telephone set. The speech signals conveyed by the transmit and receive channels are detected and added together for forming a sum control signal. The transmit amplifier is controlled by the detected transmit signal and the two attenuators are controlled in opposite directions by the sum control signal. In the preferred embodiment, the amplifier and attenuators are formed respectively by a balanced modulator and by balanced modulators inserted in the loop of negative feed back amplifiers.
