Publication number: 20230360912Abstract: A method for producing nanostructures having a metal oxide shell, carried by a top face of a substrate whose greatest dimension is greater than or equal to 100 mm by MOCVD metalorganic chemical vapour deposition, including successive steps carried out in a reactor configured for MOCVD deposition of nucleation and growth. The nucleation step includes forming non-contiguous metal nuclei by depositing a metal by MOCVD using a metalorganic precursor on the top face of the substrate and oxidising the metal of the metal nuclei, to form oxidised nuclei and ensure stabilisation of the nuclei. The growth step includes depositing a metal by MOCVD using the metalorganic precursor, to form non-contiguous nanostructures by growth of the oxidised nanostructures, and oxidising the deposited metal of the nanostructures formed in the nucleation to form oxidised nanostructures.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 26, 2020Publication date: November 9, 2023Applicants: COMMISSARIAT A L'ENERGIE ATOMIQUE ET AUX ENERGIES ALTERNATIVES, CENTRE NATIONAL DE LA RECHERCHE SCIENTIFIQUE, UNIVERSITE GRENOBLE ALPES, INSTITUT NATIONAL DES SCIENCES APPLIQUEES DE LYON, UNIVERSITE CLAUDE BERNARD LYON 1, ECOLE CENTRALE DE LYON, ECOLE SUPERIEURE CHIMIE PHYSIQUE ELECTRONIQUE LYONInventors: Pierre-Vincent GUENERY, Thierry BARON, Jeremy MOEYAERT

Patent number: 10557376Abstract: A turbine engine unit for lubricating a bearing holder. A turbine engine unit is provided, including an inter-turbine housing that includes a hub including a bearing holder, a ferrule extending around and at a distance from the hub, at least one arm extending radially between the hub and the ferrule, and at least one lead-through for lubricating the bearing holder. The lead-through includes a first pipe having an end portion that can be screwed onto the hub so as to place the first pipe in fluid communication with the bearing holder, an intermediate portion secured to the end portion placed inside the arm when the end portion is screwed onto the hub, and a clamping portion secured to the end portion and rotatable by a clamping tool. The turbine engine unit is characterized in that the clamping portion is located between the screwable end portion and the intermediate portion. A corresponding turbine engine unit assembly method is also provided.Type: GrantFiled: May 20, 2016Date of Patent: February 11, 2020Assignee: SAFRAN AIRCRAFT ENGINESInventors: Philippe Pierre Vincent Bouiller, Frederic Francois Jean-Yves Patard

Patent number: 9963563Abstract: The embodiments of the present disclosure present systems and methods for the reversible solubilization of (aryl ether ketones) (PAEKs). A thioacetalization process is employed to modify the PAEKs into poly (aryl ether thioacetals) which, unlike PAEKs, are substantially soluble in common solvents. This modification allowing selected analysis techniques to be more easily performed on PAEKs, such as gel permeation chromatography. The thioacetalization may be reversed through a deprotection reaction to recover the original PAEK without substantial degradation, allowing for non-destructive characterization of the PAEK. Advantageously, the thioacetalization process is generally applicable to a broad range of PAEKs, unlike presently known methods of solubilizing PAEKs. Solubilization of PAEKs further expands the utility of the PAEKs, opening up additional routes to chemical modification of PAEKs, as well as allowing for the possibility of processing PAEKs from solution.Type: GrantFiled: October 3, 2017Date of Patent: May 8, 2018Assignee: CYTEC TECHNOLOGY CORP.Inventors: Howard Matthew Colquhoun, Patrick Terence McGrail, Francois Pierre Vincent Paoloni, Philip Hodge, Ioannis Manolakis, Paul Mark Cross
