  • Publication number: 20140151760
Abstract: A method of filling gaps between gates with doped flowable pre-metal dielectric (PMD) and the resulting device are disclosed. Embodiments include forming at least two dummy gates on a substrate, each dummy gate being surrounded by spacers; filling a gap between adjacent spacers of the at least two dummy gates with a flowable PMD; implanting a dopant in the flowable PMD; and annealing the flowable PMD. • Publication number: 20140124459
Abstract: A filter cartridge is provided that is designed to actuate a valve that controls fluid flow into an outlet for discharging filtered fluid. The valve receives a ball at a first position which is axially movable between the first position and a second position. If a filter cartridge is not installed or an inappropriately designed filter cartridge is installed, the ball is moved from the first position to the second position to seal an outlet opening of the outlet. If the described filter cartridge is installed, the ball is retained at the first position by a holding member and the valve allows filtered fluid flow into the outlet opening.

  • Publication number: 20130181880
Abstract: A low profile wideband multi-beam integrated dual polarization antenna array with compensated mutual coupling effect. Instead of suppressing mutual coupling with post-element-design techniques by attempting to block the reflections between elements, an element of the array is designed using its active impedance, i.e. its impedance with mutual coupling once the element is part of the array. The active impedance is determined using various simulation techniques and the element is then designed such that its impedance is shifted in order to modify its active impedance. This technique does not reduce the mutual coupling itself but instead, compensates for the mutual coupling effect and improves the return loss of the element.

  • Publication number: 20130046475
Abstract: A system and method instantly on-site analyze seismic acceleration signals measured from a primary wave of an earthquake and at a detecting site. The system includes an embedded computing host and a signal preprocessing module. Hardware preprocessing is executed on the seismic acceleration signals; and whether the earthquake is a seismic event is able to be determined according to a seism determining logic. Seismic acceleration signals are converted into ground velocities and ground displacements to obtain a peak ground displacement. A seismic fracture time parameter is calculated through the ground velocities and ground displacements and then a seismic magnitude of the earthquake is obtained. According to the peak ground displacement and the seismic magnitude, an epicentral distance is further calculated. Then a peak ground acceleration of the earthquake's shear wave at the detection site is able to be obtained through the seismic magnitude and the epicentral distance.
