  • Patent number: 11627502
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may obtain a set of measurements related to a unicast service channel based at least in part on one or more reference signals associated with the unicast service channel and a set of measurements related to a multicast/broadcast service (MBS) channel based at least in part on one or more reference signals associated with the MBS channel. The UE may apply one or more communication parameters to ensure continuity for an MBS service. For example, in some aspects, the one or more communication parameters are based at least in part on the set of measurements related to the unicast service channel and the set of measurements related to the MBS channel. • Publication number: 20230096426
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of a first common frequency resource (CFR) within a bandwidth part (BWP) and a second CFR within the BWP. Accordingly, the UE may receive, using a first numerology, a non-group-common communication at least partially in the BWP. The UE may also receive, using the first numerology, a group-common communication at least partially in the first CFR, and receive, using a second numerology, a group-common communication at least partially in the second CFR. As an alternative, the UE may receive an indication of a CFR within a BWP. Accordingly, the UE may receive, using a first numerology, a non-group-common communication in the BWP and a first group-common communication in the CFR, and receive, using a second numerology, a second group-common communication in the CFR. Numerous other aspects are described.

  • Patent number: 11617159
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may configure a user equipment (UE) with a frequency resource for a multicast/broadcast service (MBS) for the UE to monitor for one or more group-common downlink control channels. The base station may transmit an indication, such as an explicit indication, of a monitoring condition for the group-common downlink control channels within the frequency resource. The UE may apply the monitoring condition by enabling or disabling the group-common downlink control channel monitoring within the frequency resource. The UE may monitor one or more downlink control channels for scheduling information from the base station according to the monitoring condition.

  • Publication number: 20230033440
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive control signaling from a base station that indicates a multicast or broadcast wake up signal (WUS) format. The UE may receive a multicast or broadcast WUS from the base station during a WUS monitoring occasion of a connected mode discontinuous reception (C-DRX) cycle in accordance with the control signaling. The multicast or broadcast WUS may indicate upcoming transmissions for a set of multicast or broadcast services (MBSs). If, for example, the UE is subscribed to a first MBS from the set of MBSs and the multicast or broadcast WUS indicates an upcoming transmission for the first MBS, the UE may monitor for the upcoming transmission during an active duration of the C-DRX cycle. Otherwise, the UE may enter a sleep mode to conserve power.

  • Publication number: 20230023161
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, control signaling that indicates one or more parameters pertaining to reception of paging early indications (PEIs). The UE may receive a PEI from the base station in accordance with the one or more parameters. The UE may determine, based on the PEI, whether the UE is scheduled to receive a multicast paging message from the base station in a subsequent paging occasion (PO). If the UE is scheduled to receive a multicast paging message, the UE may monitor for the multicast paging message in the subsequent PO. Otherwise, the UE may enter a low-power state during the subsequent PO, which may result in greater power savings at the UE. Aspects of the present disclosure may provide for improved multicast paging operations between the UE and the base station.
