  • Publication number: 20170038363
Abstract: A system for receiving and ejecting a fluid testing device test strip includes a strip connector having first and second guide rails, and divider walls each having a channel. A sled has first and second legs connected to a cross member. Each leg has a contact leg extending inwardly from a chamfered end. The first and second legs when positioned parallel to the guide rails have the contact leg captured in the divider wall channels retaining the sled in sliding contact with the guide rails for motions in loading and ejection directions. A mechanism assembly is movably connected to the fluid testing device. The cross member is coupled so operation in a first direction displaces the sled in the loading direction positioning the sled in a test strip test position, and opposite operation positions the contact legs in direct contact with and ejects the test strip.

  • Publication number: 20160346807
Abstract: A system and process for maintaining a quiescent surface of a fluid in a fluid container is disclosed. A fluid container has a weir structure for capturing fluid when objects are dipped. The captured fluid is returned to the fluid container at a flow rate that maintains an essentially horizontal fluid surface, regardless of the volume of objects dipped.

  • Patent number: 9453456
Abstract: A solenoid valve for a pre-chamber of an internal combustion engine is provided. The solenoid valve may include a valve body defining an inlet port fluidly coupled with a fuel line, an outlet port fluidly coupled with the pre-chamber, and a passage fluidly coupling the inlet port with the outlet port. A valve stem may be slidably disposed in the passage between a first position and a second position. The valve stem may be configured to engage the outlet port in the first position to thereby prevent fluid communication therethrough. A biasing member may be disposed in the passage and configured to actuate the valve stem to the first position. A solenoid may be coupled with the valve body and configured to actuate the valve stem to the second position to thereby allow fluid communication therethrough.

  • Publication number: 20160243325
Abstract: A system adapted to regulate pressure of a flow of breathable gas generated by a motorized blower fan. The system may include a flow estimation analyzer adapted to receive a speed signal representative of a speed of the fan and estimate a parameter representative of the flow of breathable gas (e.g., a flow rate of the breathable gas). The parameter may be determined by inputting the speed signal into a function (e.g., an equation, matrix, or lookup table), which may be selected from a plurality of predetermined functions. The predetermined function may be selected based upon a specific characteristic of the speed signal as identified at the time of estimation of the parameter representative of flow.

  • Publication number: 20160243743
Abstract: A diverter valve for extruded materials, including a split cylinder in the cylindrical opening of a base, each cylinder half being independently pivotable. The base includes first and second inlets for first and second extruded material, and first and second outlets for the material. Base first and second flow paths carry the first and second extruded materials from the inlets to the output openings, and third and fourth flow paths carry extruded material from the first and second first inlet openings to the first and second outlets. The first and second inlet openings and the first and second output openings are axially open to the central opening, and the cylinder halves are adjacent along a plane substantially radial to the central opening axis with each of the cylinder halves including a recess open along the radial plane.

  • Publication number: 20160212239
Abstract: In an example, there is disclosed a method or system for merging multiple system trees of different resources based in multiple locations over a data exchange layer. In one embodiment, there is disclosed a system for merging assets of different types within one or more tree-based locations. For example, an end node may be represented in a single location, a single message broker may provide services for and be represented in multiple locations. The asset to asset relationships within merged trees may be used to ensure availability of services and visualization of the system for management purposes.

  • Publication number: 20160205073
Abstract: In an example, there is disclosed a monolithic reputation update on a data exchange layer (DXL). According to one embodiment, designating a set of objects as good or bad can be achieved via a single administrative action by leveraging persistent client initiated connections to the DXL framework. This may enable communication of the reputation updates across a heterogeneous infrastructure, including systems potentially unreachable by the server, such as those behind a firewall or NAT.

  • Publication number: 20160197941
Abstract: In an example, a threat intelligence controller is configured to operate on a data exchange layer (DXL). The threat intelligence controller acts as a DXL consumer of reputation data for a network object, which may be reported in various different types and from various different sources. Of the devices authorized to act as reputation data producers, each may have its own trust level. As the threat intelligence controller aggregates data from various providers, it may weight the reputation reports according to trust level. The threat intelligence engine thus builds a composite reputation for the object. When it receives a DXL message requesting a reputation for the object, it publishes the composite reputation on the DXL bus.

  • Patent number: 9368107
Abstract: An input from a manually initiated action within a computing system can be received. The system can be associated with a speech component. The input can be associated with a system function. The function can be an operation within the computing system and can be linked to a function identifier. The identifier can be translated to a command data. The command data can be associated with a command identifier, a command, and an alternative command. The command data can be a speech command registered within the speech component. The command data can be presented within a speech interface responsive to the translating. The speech interface can be associated with the speech component.

  • Publication number: 20160101557
Abstract: A polymer filter assembly through which flowable material from a supply is directed for processing before passing to a die assembly through which the flowable material is delivered to form a sheet layer. The polymer filter assembly has a polymer filter frame that supports processing components for the flowable material and a support assembly for the polymer filter frame. The support assembly includes components cooperating between the polymer filter frame and a base upon which the polymer filter frame is supported to allow controlled relative vertical movement between the polymer filter frame and base to thereby permit controlled alignment between the polymer filter frame and at least one of: a) an upstream component that delivers flowable material from the supply; and b) the die assembly.

  • Patent number: RE45965
Abstract: A diverter valve controlling input of two different extruded materials has a valve body having an axially extending opening, and a valve piston axially movable in the opening between first and second positions. The body defines a first inlet for receiving a first material, and a second inlet for receiving a second material with first and second outlets opposite the inlets. The piston has first and second through channels and first and second cross-over channels, each with inlet side and outlet side ports. A first flushing channel communicates with the first inlet and end ports, a second flushing channel communicates with the second inlet and end ports, and a third flushing channel opposite the first two communicates with the second outlet and includes a plurality of ports, with all the ports, inlets and outlets open to the axial opening.
