Abstract: Rapidly disintegrating oral dosage forms for the application of active agent combinations for diabetes therapy. The dosage forms contain at least two active agents suitable for treating type-2 diabetes. The antidiabetic active agents are selected from the group comprising sulfonylureas, glitazones, glinides, biguanides, and absorption-delaying agents. The use of the active agent combination to produce an oral dosage form for the treatment of diabetes, a method for the therapeutic treatment of diabetes, and a method for the production of a sheet-like dosage form are also disclosed.

Abstract: A single-use injector is disclosed comprising a housing (10), arranged in which are at least one mechanical spring energy store (50), at least one piston-cylinder unit (100), which can be effectively filled at least for a certain time, at least one piston-actuating ram (60) and at least one triggering unit (80). The spring energy store comprises at least one pre-tensioned spring element. The spring-loaded piston-actuating ram (60) has at least one retaining rod or hook (62), which can be moved transversely, at least in certain regions, and by means of a supporting portion supports the tensioned spring energy store on at least one resting surface of the housing. When actuation occurs, the triggering unit (80) releases the supporting portion to allow it to move away from the resting surface.

Abstract: A preparation having at least one unsaturated fatty acid and the use of at least one unsaturated fatty acid having a chain length of 18 or 20 carbon atoms and of plant drugs containing the unsaturated fatty acid as a free fatty acid or a fatty acid radical of a triglyceride. The fatty acid has a chain length of 18 carbon atoms which are provided with 1 to 3 double bonds and the fatty acid has a chain length of 20 carbon atoms which are provided with 1 to 4 double bonds. The double bond or one of the double bonds are located in position 9 or 11 of the carbon chain. The unsaturated fatty acid is supplied in the all-cis configuration. The at least one unsaturated fatty acid prevents and/or treats or is used for producing a preparation for preventing and/or treating thrombosis and thromboembolic diseases.

Abstract: A sheet-like pharmaceutical preparation (dosage form) that quickly disintegrates on contact with moisture, based on hydrophilic polymers for the release of at least one active agent. The dosage form contains an active agent combination for treating depression, and at least one active agent selected from the antidepressant group of drugs. In addition, the use of such a combination of active agents for the production of an orally administrable pharmaceutical product for the treatment of depression, and the therapeutic treatment of depression by oral administration of one of the named pharmaceutical preparations, is provided.

Abstract: Sheet-like pharmaceutical preparations based on hydrophilic polymers, which rapidly disintegrate upon contact with moisture and which are used to treat dementia-related illnesses The dosage form contains an active agent combination of at least two active agents which are suitable for the treatment of dementia (antidementia agents). The antidementia agents should be chosen from the group comprising acetyl cholinesterase inhibitors (AChE inhibitors) and NMDA antagonists (n-methyl-D-asparaginic acid antagonists). The use of such an active agent combination for producing an orally administrable pharmaceutical product for the treatment of dementia-related illnesses such as Alzheimer's disease, as well as a procedure for the symptomatic treatment of Alzheimer's disease by the oral administration of one of the above pharmaceutical products is also provided.

The cylinder/piston unit is provided with a cylinder and with a piston which is guided therein and which is sealed off in a sterile manner by a rubber seal, the cylinder and the piston enclosing a chamber that can be filled at least temporarily with active substance, and the cylinder having at least one discharge element at its front end. For this purpose, the piston resting in a rear position is sealed off relative to the cylinder in a sterile manner by a static front sealing element and by a static rear sealing element. Arranged spatially behind each static sealing element, there is a parking area for receiving the respective sealing element.

Abstract: A closure system for containers used for storing or administering substances in the form of liquids, pastes or powders, which system in one embodiment includes a cap, provided with a through-hole, and a closure element, wherein the cap holds the closure element with a force fit and/or form fit on the container, in the area of the container opening that is to be closed, by means of a catch element present on the container. For this purpose, the end face which surrounds the container opening, and on which the closure element bears, comprises a depression. The closure element is a virus-proof, bacteria-proof and spore-proof film that lies on the end face and, at least in some areas, over the depression. The cap is then fitted in place, an elastomer ring or adhesive ring is arranged between the closure element and the depression and fills the depression.

A displacement mechanism is installed in the hinge to allow the door to be simultaneously lifted from the frame of the cabinet during a pivoting movement of the door into an open position. The locking mechanism is comprised of an electrically actuatable locking element disposed in the extension of the base plate. A lock cylinder is provided for also mechanically actuating the locking element.

Abstract: The invention relates to a cylinder/piston unit having a cylinder and a piston which is guided therein, wherein the cylinder and the piston enclose a chamber which can be filled at least for a time with an additive, and the cylinder has at least one exit element at its front end. Here, the cross section of the chamber or the cross section of the cylinder inner wall is increased at least in regions of the cylinder from the front to the back, wherein the cylinder end having the exit element is at the front. The piston has an elastic skirt at least in the front region, the front outer edge of said elastic skirt defining a cross-sectional area in the case of an unloaded piston, which is greater than an area which is defined by a contour line. The present invention develops a cylinder/piston unit which ensures simple and reliable handling and can be stored for a long time in the filled state, in a manner which is impervious to gas and moisture.

Abstract: The invention relates to a two-part turnbuckle lock for a door or flap, especially of switch cabinets or the like. Said lock comprises a housing (12), fastened on the door leaf (10) or flap, and an operating shaft (17). Said shaft is rotationally arranged inside the housing (12), is linked with a turnbuckle tongue (16) on the inside of the door leaf (10) in a rotationally fixed manner and can be coupled with an actuator (25), such as a handle, cylinder lock or the like on the outside of the door leaf (10). The housing (12), for the purpose of fastening on the door leaf (10), comprises a rosette (13) mounted on the outside of the door leaf (10) and an outer thread (14) on the inside of the door leaf (10) for screwing a fixing nut (15) thereonto until it rests against the door leaf (10). The inventive lock is characterized in that the rosette (13) and the housing (12) of the turnbuckle are configured as separate parts and can be interlinked by means of a positively locking connection (20, 21).

Abstract: A one-way injector having a housing in which at least one mechanical spring energy store, at least one piston/cylinder unit, which can be at least temporarily filled with an active substance, at least one piston-actuating plunger and at least one tripping unit are arranged. To this end, the spring energy store comprises a preloaded spring element. The spring element is held in the preloaded position by a tension means surrounding at least a region of the spring. The tripping unit comprises a cutting tool which, in order to release the energy of the spring energy store, severs or weakens the tension means at least one point, the weakening immediately tearing the tension means. With the present invention, a one-way injector is developed which, with a small overall size, has only a few components and ensures reliable mounting and functioning with simple manipulation.

Abstract: The invention relates to a biopsy needle for obtaining material for histological examination of body tissue, in particular, of bone marrow, or for the isolation, culture and modification of body cells, comprising a cannula with a cutting edge and a manual turning handle and a stylet running in the cannula. At the end of the cannula is an internal thread and preferably an outer thread. An easily visible marking is preferably provided on the manual turning handle. On withdrawing the biopsy needle the biopsy sample is thus held in position in the cannula and the advancing is precisely controllable.

Abstract: A hinge for a door or cover of a cabinet includes first and second hinge wings. Each wing has a plurality of openings for receiving attachment screws that penetrate associated bores in components to be held together by means of the hinge. An adapter is positioned on a back side of each of the components. Each adapter has a projection centered in the bores of the components for receiving a respective screw nut, wherein each screw nut cooperates with one of the attachment screws. A diametrically extending slotted hole disposed in each of the adapters provides for positive-fit, non-rotatable receipt of the screw nut that is displaceable in the slotted hole. Preferably, the diameter of the bores located in the components is greater than a diameter of the attachment screws by the amount of displaceability of the hinge. In this manner, the hinge can be adjusted without detracting from the outward appearance of the hinge on the cabinet door.
