    Abstract: The aim of the invention is to design a sole (1), and a shoe with such a sole (1), so that the length of the sole (1) or of the upper attached to it can be easily adjusted, using adjustment means (11), to meet the needs of the wearer of the shoe. This is achieved by virtue of the act that a front thrust block (7) is fitted at the rear (5) of the front sole (2) and a rear thrust block (8) at the front (6) of the rear sole (3). The shoe is fitted with at least one adjustment means (11) which forms a force-locking connection with the two thrust blocks (7, 8), the jointed section (4) thus being adjustable by the adjustment means (11) to various lengths.

    Abstract: A shoe (1) with a central turn-lock fastener (5) and deflecting elements (9) for the tensioning element (7) is designed in such a way that mounting, and if required dismounting, of the tensioning elements (7) are made substantially easier. For that purpose, the deflecting elements (9) are provided at their front faces (13) with a groove (15) for the tensioning element (7). The groove is deeper than the thickness of the tensioning element (7). A locking member (18) with a rising flank (19) is provided on at least one side (17) of the groove. The highest point (20) of the rising flank (19) is in the vicinity of the opposite side (21) of the groove, so that the remaining gap is smaller than the thickness (23) of the tensioning element (7).

    Abstract: A shoe with an upper made of resiliently flexible materials has a central rotary closure on an instep cover in an instep area of the upper, and a tightening element that is connected to the central rotary closure and which is guided from the instep cover laterally in the form of loops at each side of the upper. At each side of the upper, each of the loops is guided over a deflecting element of a respective guide element, so that the central rotary closure is able to shorten the tightening element, by rotating the central rotary closure, to close the shoe and to lengthen the tightening element to open the shoe.

    Abstract: In a shoe sole, in particular for athletic shoes, that is assembled at least from an outsole and a cushioning midsole, where the midsole has recesses extending essentially perpendicular to the plane of the sole, to improve the comfort of such a shoe and to increase the dimensional stability of the sole parts, the midsole is formed of a first midsole element (1a) consisting of a compact thermoplastic material and a second midsole element (2a) consisting of a foamed plastic material. Recesses (3) are distributed at least predominantly over the entire first midsole element (1a) made of compact thermoplastic material and are closed on a side facing away from the second midsole element (2a). Additionally, the second midsole element (2a) is injected onto the first midsole element (1a) closing open ends of the recesses and optionally, partially penetrating the recesses and/or encapsulating stabilizing inserts disposed in the arch area of the first midsole element.

    Abstract: A sport shoe with an outsole cleat-type gripping element is constructed so that, even in an inclined position of the outsole, the supporting areas of the gripping element or elements have as complete a ground contact as possible, without the gripping element being damaged or destroyed by excessive lateral forces. Further, the damping property of the gripping element can be matched in a simple way to the respective requirements. In particular, in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the invention these characteristics are obtained by providing a receiving device, which has an inside thread for receiving the threaded bolt for at least one gripping element, in a holding insert that is embedded in the outsole, the receiving device being mounted so as to be both axially movable and slightly tiltable laterally without being able to rotate.

    Abstract: A shoe, especially a sport, leisure or rehabilitation shoe, with an upper that is at least partially formed of an elastically flexible material, a central closure attached on an instep cover in an area of the wearer's instep, and with a wire-like tightening element that is coupled with the central closure and runs from the central closure down toward a toe end of the upper and then back up to the central closure, the tightening element passing back and forth between guide elements on the instep cover and on side parts of the upper at each of opposite sides of the throat area. In accordance with preferred embodiments, a projecting sheet-shaped tab is molded to the instep cover, the tab being securely connected at an instep area of the shoe, and the instep cover being folded around a hinge-like connection of the tab on the instep area to be covered. As a result, the instep cover is movably attached to the shoe upper in a simple way.
