  • Patent number: 9268200
Abstract: A camera housing comprises a four-sided frame. A first side of the four-sided frame includes a first segment, a second segment, and a latch mechanism with a first latch component and a second latch component. The first latch component and the second latch component are pivotally coupled such that in a closed position, the frame securely encloses a camera and in an open position, the first segment and the second segment are separable.

  • Patent number: 9264810
Abstract: Embodiments provide apparatuses and systems which include a front surface, a back surface, and a second back surface. A speaker may be disposed between the front surface and the back surface. The speaker is to direct audio substantially orthogonally through the back surface. The second back surface is to enable an acoustic response from the speaker. A method is also provided which enables a computing device to determine whether it is engaging a surface. In response to the determination, the computing device may adjust the audio signal provisioned to a speaker directed orthogonally to the surface, and output the audio signal to provision an omni-directional acoustic response.

  • Publication number: 20150194764
Abstract: A magnetic connector for a computing device is disclosed. The magnetic connector can include a housing. The housing includes an asymmetric shape, a connector interface including at least one contact element to carry at least one of data or power, and a magnetic component provided on the connector interface. The housing and the magnetic component are oriented to key the connector interface into proper alignment when mated with an opposing connector that includes at least two magnetic components of opposite polarity.

  • Publication number: 20150093104
Abstract: A protective lens attachment is configured to couple to a camera lens ring to protect a camera lens during operation. The protective lens attachment can include a compressible structure, on which a force is exerted by a camera lens ring when the camera lens ring is inserted into the protective lens attachment. The compressible structure is configured to exert a reciprocal force onto the camera lens ring, creating a friction force between the compressible structure and the camera lens ring, and securely coupling the protective lens attachment to the camera lens ring.

  • Patent number: 8917505
Abstract: A stand assembly for a computing device is provided. The stand assembly includes a stand and a coupling mechanism to couple the stand to a rear face of the computing device. The coupling mechanism is structured to enable the stand to be moved under bias into multiple positions, including a first position in which the stand extends outward from the rear face at a first angle and retains the computing device upright at a first orientation, and a second position in which the stand extends outward from the rear face at a second angle and retains the computing device upright at a second orientation. The coupling mechanism is structured to return the stand, from at least each of the first position and the second position, into a closed position that abuts the rear face of the computing device when the coupling mechanism is relaxed.
