  • Patent number: 8951140
Abstract: A golf swing stance trainer has a hub and a central telescoping arm connected to the hub. Side telescoping arms are connected to the hub for swinging outward to positions perpendicular to the central arm. The hub has ground-engaging cleats on a lower surface. The central arm is selectively extended outward for position with respect to a ball position. The side arms are selectively extended outward to indicate desired foot positions. The central arm has an extension with a pivot for sliding outward from the central arm for training position and direction of a golf ball and direction and extent of a swing. Arm extensions are related to an individual user and club selection. The arms are telescoped inward and the side arms are swung inward for carrying. The hub includes a hinge rod with a central receive through which a connected on the central arm slides.

  • Publication number: 20070269575
Abstract: A method of ultrafinely pulverizing oat bran and a beverage composition containing an effective oat bran component prepared using the method are provided. The method includes primarily pulverizing oat bran, and jetting the primarily pulverized oat bran powder at a high rate to collide against a freeze wall. The effective oat bran component in the beverage composition is extracted by adding warm water to ultrafinely pulverized oat bran powder obtained using the method and stirring the mixture.

  • Publication number: 20070079139
Abstract: Presented are systems and methods of signature authentication. A signer employs a bio-pen to electronically sign a file. Signature data corresponding to the bodily movements associated with producing the signer's signature are collected and authenticated against a standard. If the signature data is authenticated a signature certificate including the authenticated signature data is generated and assigned to an electronic envelope. Additional data, such as a bio-pen serial number, time stamps, and user identifier can be collected and used for authentication and inclusion in a signature certificate. Assigning the signature certificate secures the contents of the electronic envelope and signature certificate. An electronic envelope may include any number of files of various types. The systems and methods of signature authentication may accommodate more than one signer of an electronic envelope.

  • Publication number: 20070050030
Abstract: An implantable device that is expandable in vivo includes two end pieces and a spacer configured to be inserted between the two end pieces in vivo. The two end pieces are configured to be inserted simultaneously without the spacer. After the two end pieces have been inserted and positioned as desired, the spacer is inserted between the two end pieces in vivo to maintain a desired amount of separation between the two end pieces. The two end pieces each provide contoured surfaces for engaging and holding the spacer between the end pieces.

  • Publication number: 20060281093
Abstract: The present invention relates to monitoring of ErbB receptor levels in methods and kits for determining the prognosis of cancer in a subject or improving the effectiveness of a cancer treatment. The invention also provides a method for predicting the recurrence of clinical signs of a cancer in a subject. In some embodiments, the invention provides methods for predicting the development of resistance to a chemotherapy regimen. In other embodiments, the invention provides methods for improving the effectiveness of a cancer treatment in a subject by monitoring levels of ErbB-2, ErbB-3 and/or ErbB-4. Preferably, the subject in the methods of the invention has been previously treated with a chemotherapy regimen for an ErbB-1 positive tumor.

  • Publication number: 20050173502
Abstract: A multidimensional and easily adjusted container may be created from a single sheet container template having a plurality of horizontal and vertical fold lines and perforation lines extending along portions of the fold lines. A large number of containers having a variety of dimensions may be created by using indicia such as numbering of the fold lines and perforation lines, instructions and so on to indicate to users how to fold the box into various sizes and shapes. A unit dimension of the separation of the parallel lines may provide a regular grid of lines, or the separation distance between parallel lines may be a multiple of the unit distance. Different multiples of the unit distance may be used on a single container template, and the unit distance may be different for the horizontal and vertical fold lines.
