Publication number: 20190205287Abstract: A computer-implemented method for determining modeled roof age of a structure is provided. Such methods comprise identifying a target structure for which an estimated roof age is desired, receiving data related to the target structure in computer-readable form, and inputting the data related to the target structure into a generalized linear model to determine a Per-Property Modeled Roof Age of the target structure. The modeled roof age preferably accounts for (i) the height of the trees, (ii) the proximity of the trees to the target structure, and (iii) the weather conditions for the structure's geographic location. Such methods can be applied in practice by substituting a typically inaccurate reported roof age with a more realistic modeled roof age in making homeowners insurance decisions.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 11, 2019Publication date: July 4, 2019Inventors: Joseph Tierney Masters Emison, Holly Ward Tachovsky, Richard W. White

Patent number: 7950249Abstract: A portable insulated cooler has a bottom space adapted to hold ice cubes. A removable perforated panel suspended over the bottom space separates the bottom space from a central cooled storage area. A removable frame suspended above the central cooled areas holds ice cube containing flasks. Each flask has a large closable opening in its upper broad flat face to easily receive ice cubes. The lower broad face of the flask forms a cooling upper margin of the central cooled area so that the contents of the area are cooled from both top and bottom. The flasks have a flange around the upper face to rest upon the frame, while most of the flask is below the frame. This enables the insulated cooler top to close. By cooling from both top and bottom, the central area is more uniformly cooled. Opening the cooler top to access the central area creates less heat gain than with prior art devices.Type: GrantFiled: September 29, 2005Date of Patent: May 31, 2011Inventors: Robert J. Patent number: 5931019Abstract: A dynamic tray for dry storage of bait and other items rests on the ice in a cooler and remains resting as it melts. The tray has a perforated flat bottom panel and upstanding sides. Protuberances extend outwardly from the top of the sides and fit into vertical slots in the walls of many conventional coolers. These slots extend part way down from the top of the cooler. When the protuberances engage the ends of the slots as the ice melts, the tray is prevented from further downward movement that might immerse the tray in melt water. An accessory static tray has upstanding sides with a top outwardly directed flange that engages a ridge near the top of the cooler chamber. This holds the tray at a fixed position above the dynamic tray. Sealed frozen packages of water may be held on the tray so that items on the dynamic tray are cooled from above as well as below.Type: GrantFiled: November 15, 1997Date of Patent: August 3, 1999Inventors: Richard W.
