Abstract: The combination of a container and a screw-type lid is improved by a tamper-evident feature comprising a locking tab on the exterior of the container having upwardly facing teeth and mating teeth on the lid, the teeth on the container and lid being arranged so as be slidable relative to one another while in mutual engagement when the lid is rotated in one direction and to lock to one another when the lid is urged to rotate in an opposite direction. The tab is tearable to terminate the locking action, thereby evidencing tampering. A catch member formed on the container is positioned to engage and cam one of several latch lugs formed on the lid, whereby to establish a locking action with that latch lug. The catch member prevents removal of the lid from the container until the engaged latch lug is pressed inwardly far enough for it to be released from the catch member, whereupon the lid may be unscrewed from the container.

A latch element is formed on the lid for engagement with one of a plurality of cooperating catch elements formed on the container. The engaged catch element prevents removal of the lid from the container until the latch element is depressed inwardly far enough to allow the lid to be turned to a position in which the tabs may be removed from the openings.

The containers and lids are designed so that the containers may be stacked one upon the other and so that flow passages are provided between the lid of one container and the bottom of a like container resting on that lid to permit flow therebetween of a gaseous freezing medium such as frigid air.

Abstract: A wheeled container made of plastic has a bottom end wall formed with two wheel-receiving pockets and first and second C-configured spring clips disposed on opposite sides of each pocket and projecting away from the bottom end wall. Each clip has an open portion that faces outwardly from the container. A wheel assembly is associated with each pocket. Each wheel assembly consists of a wheel and first and second axle portions that are received by the first and second spring clips respectively of a pocket, with the wheel being received by and extending out of that pocket.

Abstract: A covering band (12) is pre-heated and then definitively heated in two subsequent areas (P,Z), and is subjected to primary pulling, in an area (T), where the covering band is pulled and applied to a blister band (1), and to secondary pulling in an area (R) which coincides with the pre-heating area (P). The speed of the covering band (12) is lower in the secondary pulling area (R), so as to determine a lengthening which corresponds at least to its maximum lengthening resulting from pre-heating. Cyclical detecting of reference marks (20) printed on the covering band determines temporary reducing of the covering band (12) speed in the secondary pulling point (R), so as to provoke an additional lengthening. The device includes pulling means (5,11) of the blister band (1) and covering band (12), pre-heating means (11) and heating means (13) for the covering band (12), detecting means (16), and driving means (30) acting with different speeds, controlled by the detecting means (16).

Abstract: The combination of a reusable lid and a container, the lid being provided with external threads and the container being provided with internal threads adjacent its upper end for mating with said external threads. The lid is assembled to the container by engagement of the external and internal threads on the lid and container respectively. Preferably the lid has a sealing ring disposed adjacent to the underside of an outer peripheral ledge for engagement with a selected portion of the container, so as to tightly seal off the contents of the container. A latch element is formed on the lid for engagement with a cooperating catch element formed on the container. The latch element prevents removal of the lid from the container until the latching element is released from the catch element.
