  • Patent number: 8142382
Abstract: A material having a stretch axis and adapted to regulate energy by distributing and partially dissipating energy exerted thereon. The material includes a material body elongateable along the stretch axis from a first position to a second position, in which the material body is elongated by a predetermined amount relative to the first position. The material body includes a first elastomer layer defining a material length and a planar support structure disposed within the elastomer layer generally along the stretch axis in an at least partially non linear fashion while the material body is in the first position so that a length of the support structure, as measured along a surface thereof, is greater than the material length of the first elastomer layer.

  • Publication number: 20110314589
Abstract: A vibration reducing assembly including a flexible headgear and at least one panel of vibration reducing material secured to the flexible headgear. The at least one panel of vibration reducing material includes at least a first elastomer layer and a reinforcement layer comprising a high tensile strength fibrous material.

  • Publication number: 20110302805
Abstract: An insole and arch support system which may be secured to the interior of a shoe and includes a set of arch support members. Each arch support member of the system is provided with a different density to provide varying levels of hardness and stability to the arch of the foot of the individual user, and may be secured to the insole at adjustable locations. An appropriate arch support member and insole member are secured together and inserted into the shoe, with the arch support member positioned at the desired location relative to the arch of the foot. The shoe is then worn in the normal manner.

  • Publication number: 20100247856
Abstract: A vibration-reducing material, comprising first and second elastomer layers and a reinforcement layer disposed between and generally separating the first and second elastomer layers. The reinforcement layer comprises a high tensile strength fibrous material. At least one of the first or second elastomer layers is manufactured as a foamed structure.
