  • Publication number: 20050097008
Abstract: The present invention provides an automated interactive system that enables an author to build applications that handle complex consumer-merchant interactions. The author designs content components and application rules that are interpreted by the system dynamically, at runtime, to generate and deliver to users personalized HTML web pages, including client-side objects that track user behavior and enhance users' interaction with the application. Such rules dynamically adapt the author's goals to the appropriate users at the appropriate time, thereby simulating the dialogue between users and human salespersons/customer service personnel in the context of an automated interactive system.

  • Publication number: 20050052630
Abstract: An electroporation device which may be used to effectively facilitate the introduction of a macromolecule into cells of a selected tissue in a body or plant. The electroporation device comprises an electro-kinetic device (“EKD”) whose operation is specified by software or firmware. The EKD produces a series of programmable constant-current pulse patterns between electrodes in an array based on user control and input of the pulse parameters and allows the storage and acquisition of current waveform data. The electroporation device also comprises a replaceable electrode disk having an array of needle electrodes, a central injection channel for an injection needle, and a removable guide disk.

  • Publication number: 20010027826
Abstract: A flexible intermediate bulk container. The container has walls of flexible sheet, with at least a second end enclosed with a sheet. The ends may have filling and discharge spouts. The walls of flexible sheet may have a plurality of loops external to the container and adjacent to the first end. The second end has two parallel guides formed from flexible sheet and external to the flexible intermediate bulk container. Preferably, each guide has therein a removable fork guide formed from a solid material.

  • Patent number: 4843548
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system for integrating related numerical functions in an improved manner which operates from a common data base. Specifically, this system utilizes a common data base configuration for a variety of separate satellite functions which can then be used independently or in common. The invention is applicable for coordinating and processing business or financial data, and is also suitable for any application involving multiple numerical relationship based on common data variables.

  • Patent number: 4257180
Abstract: A portable microfiche viewer is provided for viewing a selected image frame of a microfiche arranged in a cylindrical configuration. The viewer comprises a cylindrical translucent outer wall, a cylindrical transparent inner wall positioned within the outer wall and a transparent cylinder adapted to be manually rotated and axially movable within the inner wall. A microfiche to be viewed is positioned on the periphery of the cylinder and is rotatable therewith for positioning a selected column of the microfiche into a viewing path or aperture extending perpendicularly to an optical path of a lens means mounted on the outer wall. The lens means is movable in a path parallel to the viewing path to a selected row of the microfiche for viewing the selected image frame of the microfiche directly through the lens means.
