  • Publication number: 20170198577
Abstract: A method for fabricating a rotatable cutting tool is disclosed. The method may comprise fabricating a body of a holder for the cutting tool, wherein the body of the holder extends along an axis and includes a head portion and a shank portion. The head portion may extend from a first end to a second end, and the first end may be configured to receive a cutting tip. The method may further comprise applying a plurality of rotation-assisting strips along an outer surface of the head portion that extend between the first end and the second end. The rotation-assisting strips may project from the outer surface of the head portion. The method may further comprise heat treating the holder having the plurality of rotation-assisting strips.

  • Publication number: 20170175145
Abstract: Plasmid vectors and use of plasmid vectors in methods for producing methane and isoprene using Archaea are disclosed. Particularly, plasmid vectors that express isoprene synthase (ispS) are prepared and inserted into methanogens, such as Methanosarcina acetivorans, to allow for co-production of methane and isoprene. In one embodiment, the methods of the present disclosure can be used for wastewater management.

  • Patent number: 9616822
Abstract: A mobile device attachment for a golf cart is provided. The mobile device attachment includes a plate and a mobile device mount. The plate includes an upper surface, a lower surface opposite the upper surface, a first end and a second end opposite the first end. A ridge is protruding from the upper surface near the first end. The ridge is sized to fit within a clip of a golf cart steering wheel. The plate further includes a first connector disposed near the second end. The mobile device mount includes a base having a second connector releasably securable by magnetic attraction to the first connector. The mobile device mount may further include a pair of jaws that releasably secures a mobile device therebetween.

  • Patent number: 9217054
Abstract: Process for the production of di- and poly(diamino diphenyl methane) comprising the steps of (a) reacting aniline and formaldehyde in the presence of an acid catalyst to produce a reaction mixture containing di- and polyamines; (b) neutralizing the reaction mixture containing di- and polyamines; (c) separating the neutralized reaction mixture into an organic phase containing di- and polyamines and an aqueous phase; (d) further treating the organic phase separated off in step (c) by (d1) washing with water followed by (d2) separating the washed mixture into an organic phase and an aqueous phase and (d3) further fractionation of the organic phase to produce purified di- and polyamines on the one hand and aniline/water on the other hand; (e) further treating the aqueous phase separated off in step (c) by (e1) washing with aniline followed by (e2) separating the washed mixture into an aqueous phase and an organic phase and (e3) further treatment of the aqueous phase to remove the aniline thereby leaving an efflu

  • Patent number: 8476002
Abstract: Some embodiments include methods in which spaced-apart first features are formed from a first material having a reflow temperature. Second material is formed along sidewalls of the first features, and third material is formed over the second material and the first features. The third material may be formed at a temperature above the reflow temperature of the first material, and the second material may support the first features so that the first features do not collapse even though they are exposed to such temperature. In some embodiments the third material has an undulating topography. Fourth material may be formed within the valleys of the undulating topography, and subsequently the first features may be removed together with at least some of the third material to leave a pattern comprising second features formed from the second material and pedestals formed from the fourth material.
