  • Patent number: 11831166
Abstract: A system for monitoring and optimizing fuel consumption by a genset at an oil rig is described. Gensets require large amounts of fuel to initiate and to maintain in a standby, idling position. The system accesses data in a drill plan to determine the present and future power requirements and initiates gensets if needed; otherwise gensets can be shut down. Excess power can be stored in a power storage unit such as a capacitor, battery, or a liquid air energy storage unit.

  • Patent number: 11820406
Abstract: A magnetic traction assembly is disclosed for a railcar mover that provides additional downforce to improve traction for a railcar mover when required. The magnetic traction assembly may comprise a frame, an actuator, and a magnetic element positioned underneath a railcar mover. The magnetic element may be lowered to a deployed position, where the magnetic element is positioned near the railroad rails such that the magnetic field from the magnetic element interacts with the railroad rail creating an attraction force that provides additional downforce to the railcar mover.

  • Patent number: 11797005
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing a vehicle service are provided. In one example embodiment, a computer-implemented method includes receiving data indicative of a service request to provide a vehicle service for an entity with respect to one or more cargo items designated for autonomous transport. The method includes obtaining a first cargo item among the one or more cargo items, from a representative of the entity at a dedicated first transfer hub proximate to a first location associated with the first cargo item. The method includes controlling a first autonomous vehicle to transport the first cargo item from the first transfer hub to a dedicated second transfer hub proximate to a second location associated with the first cargo item. The method includes providing the first cargo item to a representative of the entity at the second transfer hub, to provide the vehicle service.

  • Publication number: 20230230055
Abstract: Processing a payment transaction from a payer (operating a payer computing system) to a payee (operating a merchant computing system) by a secure computing system. The secure computing system outputs a financial account registration request form to the payer computing system (e.g., within a window or frame that is displayed within an ecommerce webpage provided by the merchant computing system) for the payer to provide sensitive financial account information, securely stores the sensitive financial account information, maintains compliance with an information security standard (e.g., a Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard), and provides a non-sensitive electronic data token representing the sensitive financial account information to the merchant computing system.

  • Patent number: 11663224
Abstract: Technology is described herein for ranking candidate result items in at least two stages. In a first stage, the technology uses a first attention-based neural network to determine an extent of attention that each token of an input query should pay to the tokens of each candidate result item. In a second stage, the technology uses a ranking subsystem to perform listwise inference on output results provided by the first stage, to generate a plurality of ranking scores that establish an order of relevance of the candidate results items. The ranking subsystem may use a second attention-based neural network to perform the listwise inference. According to some implementations, the technology is configured to process queries and candidate result items having different kinds and combinations of features. For instance, one kind of input query may include text-based features, structure-based features, and geographic-based features.

  • Patent number: 11623661
Abstract: Techniques for controlling a vehicle based on height data and/or classification data being determined utilizing multi-channel image data are discussed herein. The vehicle can capture lidar data as it traverses an environment. The lidar data can be associated with a voxel space as three-dimensional data. Semantic information can be determined and associated with the lidar data and/or the three-dimensional voxel space. A multi-channel input image can be determined based on the three-dimensional voxel space and input into a machine learned (ML) model. The ML model can output data to determine height data and/or classification data associated with a ground surface of the environment. The height data and/or classification data can be utilized to determine a mesh associated with the ground surface. The mesh can be used to control the vehicle and/or determine additional objects proximate the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11620621
Abstract: Processing a payment from a payer to a payee (operating a first computing system), by a second computing system, by receiving an electronically-generated payment transaction instruction (identifying the payer, specifying the amount of the payment, and specifying a communications link for the second computing system to obtain financial account information from the payer) from the first computing system, obtaining the financial account information from the payer via the specified communications link, generating an electronic data token representing the financial account information, outputting the electronic data token for transmittal to the first computing system (where the first computing system does not receive the financial account information and the second computing system does not provide the electronic data token to the payer), obtaining the amount from the payer using the financial account information, and forwarding at least a portion of the amount to the payee.

  • Publication number: 20220243864
Abstract: A radiation shield assembly is described, configured to block radiation emanating from a radiation source from reaching a user. Two shields are supported by a support arm, and are configured to rotate and translate relative to one another about the support arm's longitudinal axis. This allows the shield to be easily configured and reconfigured as necessary to visualize various parts of a patient's body via radiography. The assembly is articulated to overcome difficulties in maneuvering it around an operating room. Such articulation may come in the form of a dual-sleeve configuration for jointing the shield, in the form of adjustable wheels on the floor sand, or both.
