Abstract: A sectional system for constructing newspaper and other periodical stands in a variety of different configurations. The system includes a plurality of generally U-shaped sections that are stackable upon each other. The sections are preferably formed of spin-molded plastic and include a base section, a shelf section and a display section. The shelf section comprises a horizontal display section while the display section comprises an angled display section.

Abstract: A simplified, compact coin-controlled coin latch unit includes a latching arm and a deactivating arm, arranged on the same pivot. The operation of the deactivating arm, which is controlled by the opening and closing of the door latched by the latch unit, operates a magnetic switch which deactives the solenoid which controls the latching arm. The deactivating arm also controls a hinged flap which forms part of a temporary coin receptacle. When the door opens, the deactivating arm is released, deactivating the solenoid and releasing the hinged flap to permit coins to fall into a chute to a permanent coin receptacle. When the door is closed, the deactivating arm is moved to it's original point, closing the hinged flap and activating the magnetic switch to close, thereby permitting reactivation of the solenoid circuit, in response to a coin detecting device.

Abstract: A self-contained mechanical vending device for displaying and dispensing newspapers by coin activated access. The vending device has a molded synthetic resin one-piece cabinet with an access door and release mechanism insert. A spring-activated newspaper storage elevator shelf and weight assembly stabilizes the device and presents the newspapers for selective removal through the access door.

Abstract: A window having a frame with at least two oppositely disposed side members, a top member, and a bottom member. Operably connected to each frame side member is a jamb liner having a front face and at least one jamb channel. Mounted within the frame is at least one sash having two oppositely disposed sides. The sash tilts away from the frame for easy cleaning. Within each jamb channel is a locking slide block for slidably and rotatably mounting the sash to the frame. A plough extends from the face of each jamb liner in the direction of the opposite frame side member. Each side of the sash has a sash groove for slidably mounting the sash in the frame by receiving adjacent ploughs. The plough and sash grooves have interlocking edges which engage to resist unintentional tilting of the sash.
