  • Patent number: 5806938
Abstract: In a selected operating situation, the automatic control circuit, which is closed during normal operation, is opened, the final control element of the wheel brake being actuated within the scope of an open-loop control process. The drive signal value for the wheel brake changes in accordance with a predetermined time function, and the application pressure or release pressure is found on the basis of the characteristic behavior of a value representing the braking action.

  • Patent number: 5211712
Abstract: An automatic control system for a friction-encumbered signaling device (50) in a motor vehicle with the system including a first automatic controller (10) that compares an actual signaling-device position (UI) to a desired signaling-device position (US), with the first automatic controller being capable of calculating at least one input variable for the two-step action controller (40) that is connected to the load side of the first automatic controller, and the two-step action controller (40) including the capability for determining a variable hysteresis width E which is dependent upon system operating parameters.

  • Patent number: 5178111
Abstract: A system for the closed-loop control of a positioning unit in a motor vehicle with the system's loop controller supplying a signal to the positioning unit dependent upon a comparison between a predetermined-value signal and an actual-position signal. The predetermined-value signal depends upon the desired position of the positioning unit and upon the output signal from a signal-forming device. Based upon the predetermined-value signal and by simulating the control loop, a simulator generates an estimation signal for the actual-position signal. This estimation signal influences the response characteristic of the signal-forming device.
