    Abstract: An electrical connector includes an insulating housing having an erect base body and an erect tongue board, a plurality of conductive terminals of which each has a fastening arm vertically disposed in the base body, a contact arm elastically projecting sideward out of a side face of the tongue board, and a touching arm projecting rearward out from a bottom of the base body, a front shell mounted rearward to the insulating housing with the tongue board and the contact arms being apart located therein, and a rear shell covered to the base body and over the touching arms. The touching arms are horizontally arranged at regular intervals along a transverse direction. The electrical connector is mounted onto the circuit board with the touching arms being elastically against and pressed upward by the circuit board to form electrical connection with the circuit board.

Soldering tails of the second terminals project out from a front end of the second tongue and are transversely in alignment with one another for being soldered onto a printed circuit board so as to make the Universal Serial Bus connector perpendicularly mounted to the printed circuit board.

The first and second terminal packs are assembled to the insulating housing together with the shielding shell.

The receptacle connector includes a receptacle housing, a plurality of receptacle terminals disposed in the receptacle housing, and a receptacle shielding shell defining a receptacle accommodating space therein. The receptacle housing is inserted in a front of the receptacle accommodating space. Each side of the receptacle shielding shell defines at least one second buckling hole. A rear inner periphery of the receptacle shielding shell is attached to a front outer periphery of the plug shielding shell with the buckling blocks being buckled in the second buckling holes.

Each terminal has a soldering tail stretching downward beyond a bottom of the rear of the holding body to be positioned in the positioning aperture. A bottom of the tongue board defines a receiving recess extending longitudinally to penetrate through the base body. A rear end of the receiving recess penetrates downward through the base body to define an opening. The insulating body with the terminals and the holding body is inserted forward in the receiving recess, and the holding body is secured in the opening.
