  • Publication number: 20160085802
Abstract: Contextual awareness is used to reveal non-verbal expressions. A current context of a device is evaluated to infer a user's body posture and emotional state. The user's body posture and emotional state may then be used for improved services and targeted advertising.

  • Publication number: 20150154799
Abstract: A perception of the real world may be augmented, in real time, while immersed in the real world, without adversely affecting a person's ability to function in the real world. A preference for an appearance of an object may be determined. The preference may be registered. Upon detection of a real-world object, the real-world object may be identified. The preferences may be associated with the identified real-world object. Upon receipt of the preferences, a perception of the real-world object may be augmented in accordance with the preferences. The augmented perception may be perceived via an observation device utilizing motion sensing and range imaging.

  • Publication number: 20150100973
Abstract: A system for processing requests handled by an application programming interface is disclosed. The system may receive a plurality of requests which call functions that are hosted by the application programming interface. Once the plurality of requests are received, the system may group a subset of the requests into a pool of requests if the subset of requests call similar functions hosted by the application programming interface. Additionally, the system may combine a set of requests from the pool of requests into a set of calls if the set of requests in the pool of requests are received by the system during a specified time interval. Furthermore, the system may include pushing the set of calls to a database to obtain a result set for the set of requests in the set of calls. The system may then receive the result set in response to the set of calls.

  • Patent number: 8903050
Abstract: A particular method includes receiving first data indicating a measured strength of an ambient electromagnetic signal in a particular frequency range during a particular time period and at a particular location. The method also includes receiving second data indicating a bit loading within a portion of a wireline network in the particular frequency range during the particular time period. The portion of the wireline network provides service within a service area proximate to the particular location. The method also includes determining a correlation of changes in the second data during the particular time period to changes in the first data during the particular time period. The method further includes identifying at least one issue associated with the wireline network based on the correlation.

  • Publication number: 20140325562
Abstract: A method includes creating a first calendar event in an electronic calendar associated with a user. The first calendar event corresponds to a first viewing time and is associated with delivery of media content to a first device associated with the user. The method further includes rescheduling the first calendar event in response to determining that a scheduling conflict exists between the first calendar event and a second calendar event. Rescheduling the first calendar event includes modifying the first calendar event to correspond to a second viewing time and determining, based on the second viewing time, a second device to deliver the media content to. The second device is associated with the user.

  • Patent number: 8819737
Abstract: A method includes receiving, at an electronic device, a first input from a user identifying a program and a viewing time and creating a first calendar event corresponding to the viewing time in an electronic calendar associated with the user. The method also includes determining a first device to deliver the program to, where the first device is associated with the user. The determination is based on the viewing time and a second calendar event in the electronic calendar. Further, the method includes delivering the program to the first device.
