  • Patent number: 9348846
Abstract: A method and system for providing user-navigable search results returns a resource representation for a resource, such as a web site or other Internet accessible object. The resource representation may be navigable by a user in a manner mirroring navigation of the resource. The resource representation may include a plurality of indicators representing menu links selected from resource links associated with the resource. Selection of an indicator may cause content associated with the indicator, such as resource links and related snippets, to be displayed. A hierarchical arrangement of elements in the resource representation may correspond to a hierarchical arrangement of navigable content in the resource.

  • Patent number: 9251222
Abstract: A computer implemented method, data processing system, and computer program product for abstracted dynamic report definition generation within an information technology infrastructure. When a request to generate a report is received, report definition associated with the requested report is identified, wherein the report definition comprises a generalized description of desired data in the report without any database-specific properties. The resources which are able to provide the desired data using report instance parameters in the report definition are then identified. Responsive to determining the resources that are able to provide the desired data, the generalized description in the report definition is translated into report content generation engine-specific implementation details and actions. The translated report content generation engine-specific implementation details and actions are executed to obtain the desired data from the resources. A report may then be generated based on the resulting output.

  • Patent number: 8712965
Abstract: A computer implemented method, data processing system, and computer program product for dynamically creating report mapping relationships at runtime within an information technology infrastructure. When report definition comprising a generalized description of desired data without any database-specific properties is generated, a relationship mapping definition based on the generalized description in the report definition is created, wherein the relationship mapping definition comprises data connection information for accessing the data sources containing the desired data. The relationship mapping definition is then used to initiate a connection to the data sources. Once the desired data has been acquired from the data sources, a report may then be created using the acquired data.

  • Patent number: 8497868
Abstract: Techniques are provided for reducing pattern glare. A font size that reduces pattern glare may be determined through a series of tests. A density that reduces pattern glare may be determined through a series of tests. A color that reduces pattern glare may be determined through a series of tests. The determined parameters may be used to create a profile that is usable in different environments.

  • Publication number: 20100163098
Abstract: The present subject matter relates to receivers for concentrating photovoltaic systems and methods for fabricating such receivers. A receiver for a concentrating photovoltaic system can comprise a substrate, a plurality of electrical contact pads located on a first surface of the substrate, and a plurality of photovoltaic cells each having plurality of electrically conductive traces that are each electrically coupled to one of the electrical contact pads. In some embodiments, all of the conductive traces can be located on the back surface of the photovoltaic cells for conduction of electric current generated by the photovoltaic cells when illuminated. Alternatively, conductive traces can further be located on a front surface of the photovoltaic cells and can be electrically coupled to corresponding contact pads by electrical connectors. Regardless of the specific arrangement, the receivers can be fabricated using industry standard soldering techniques often used in the electronics industry.

  • Patent number: 7491163
Abstract: A multilumen catheter that maximizes the blood flow into and out of the patient's vasculature while also providing for passive and/or active perfusion of tissue downstream of where the catheter resides in the vasculature. The inventive catheter comprises a proximal end, a first distal and a second distal end with first and second lumens extending from the proximal end to each of these distal ends to provide for blood circulation within one blood vessel or between two different blood vessels. The second lumen, and any additional lumens so desired, may be positioned coaxially with or radially around the first lumen. Redirecting means is provided at a distal end of at least one of said lumens for directing blood in a direction generally opposite of the direction of flow through said lumen.

  • Publication number: 20080275290
Abstract: An extracardiac pumping for supplementing the circulation of blood, including the cardiac output, in a patient without any component thereof being connected to the patient's heart, and methods of using same. One embodiment of the intravascular extracardiac system comprises a pump with inflow and outflow conduits that are sized and configured to be implantable intravascularly through a non-primary vessel, whereby it may positioned where desired within the patient's vasculature. The system comprises a subcardiac pump that may be driven directly or electromagnetically from within or without the patient. The pump is configured to be operated continuously or in a pulsatile fashion, synchronous with the patient's heart, thereby potentially reducing the afterload of the heart.

  • Publication number: 20070235408
Abstract: Methods of forming electrospray ionization emitter tips are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, an end portion of a capillary tube can be immersed into an etchant, wherein the etchant forms a concave meniscus on the outer surface of the capillary. Variable etching rates in the meniscus can cause an external taper to form. While etching the outer surface of the capillary wall, a fluid can be flowed through the interior of the capillary tube. Etching continues until the immersed portion of the capillary tube is completely etched away.
