Abstract: Examples of a method and system for collaborative and private sessions are provided. A plurality of users is associated with a collaborative session. A common interface is displayed to the plurality of users, the common interface displaying a shared cursor. A first authority level is assigned to a first user of the plurality of users and a second authority level is assigned to a second user of the plurality of users. A first cursor movement request is received from the first user and a second cursor movement request is received from the second user. The first user is selected based on determining that the first authority level is higher than the second authority level. The shared cursor displayed in the common interface is moved according to the first cursor movement request from the first user.

In example embodiments, data representing prioritized recommendations for a user is received. The data representing the prioritized recommendations is used to generated a composite visual representation by embedding select prioritized recommendations into a visual representation. The composite visual representation presents a higher prioritized recommendation in a more spatially prominent manner than a lower prioritized recommendation. The composite visual representation is then presented to the user.

Abstract: A device incorporates a touch-enabled screen configured to accept a user's interaction with the touch screen to control display of the results of online searches for information and ecommerce listings. A user's interaction with the touch screen of the device with multipoint pinch gestures facilitates navigation through large volumes of search results. Touch-enabled navigation with pinch gestures to elaborate or contract the results of a given search may present a more definitive view of those results or present a better indication of the requirement for a further search by the user. Listings of item data with elaborated or contracted details are produced through corresponding scaling processes which are in turn controlled through associated multipoint pinch gestures.

An attribute associated with the user is derived. Using the search parameters and the attribute, content from a database matching the attribute and the search parameters are determined. In example embodiments, a a primary item is positioned in a predetermined location on a visual display. Navigation direction constraints are determined. The navigation direction constraints provide guidance as to where related items that are related to the primary item, based on at least one attribute of the primary item and attributes of the related items, should be located in the visual display. The related items are positioned in proximity to the predetermined location of the primary item based on the determined navigation direction constraints.

The identity of the user may be authenticated with respect to the real-time data by analyzing the identified portion of the real-time data. Based on the authentication of the identity of the user, a user activity being performed by the user may be identified based on the real-time data, and the user activity may be augmented according to a user setting.

Abstract: A system and method for data mesh-based zero effort shopping is provided. In example embodiments, attribute data associated with a user is received from a plurality of attribute sources. Demand indications are extracted from the attribute data. The demand indications may be indicative of anticipatory demand by the user for a particular item. An item is identified from the attribute data based on the extracted demand indications. User characteristics pertaining to the user are inferred from the attribute data. A purchase associated with the identified item is facilitated based, at least in part, on the user characteristics.

A device activity being performed in real-time by a user device of a user is detected. Attribute data associated with a plurality of attribute sources is accessed. A user preference indicating a preference for performing on a secondary user device a complementary activity corresponding to the device activity is inferred. Based on the inferred user preference, the secondary user device is identified according to a device status of the secondary user device, the device status indicating a device capability to perform the complementary activity in real-time. The complementary activity to be performed in real-time on the secondary user device is generated by analyzing at least one of the device activity, a device functionality of the secondary user device, and the user preference. Instructions to perform the complementary activity in real-time are transmitted to the secondary user device.

Abstract: In various example embodiments, systems and methods to provide sizing content recommendations are provided. An image of a user is received. The image includes a standard-sized marker. In response, sizing data for the user is determined using the image of the user that includes the standard-sized marker. Using the sizing data, a search is performed to determine items matching the sizing data. The matching items are presented to the user.

Abstract: Examples of a method and system for collaborative and private sessions are provided. A cursor movement request may be received from at least two users of a plurality of users of a collaborative session during a time period. The cursor may move on a common interface according to the cursor movement request from a first user selected from the at least two users that has satisfied a movement criterion. A completion criterion and a private session parameter may be designated for a private session. A number of user interactions may be processed from a participant of the private session. The private shopping session may be terminated for the participant when the completion criterion is satisfied.

The machine determines an offer from a merchant within a predefined geographic boundary. The determining of the offer may be based on the geographic location of the mobile device. The machine determines that the offer from the merchant does not correspond to the identified item, and redefines the predefined geographic boundary in response to the determining that the offer from the merchant does not correspond to the identified item. The redefining may result in a redefined geographic boundary.
