  • Patent number: 6809604
Abstract: To provide a miniaturized voltage controlled oscillator which can oscillate simultaneously a plurality of frequencies and has high stability of frequency, an excellent low phase noise, small variation per hour, and a wide frequency variable range. A thin film bulk acoustic wave resonator using single crystal ferroelectric material equal to or smaller than 10 &mgr;m in thickness whose direction of polarization is aligned to the direction of thickness is utilized as the piezoelectric member. The voltage controlled oscillator having large changing rate of the oscillation frequency of 0.01%/V or more and an extremely small phase noise is provided by changing the voltage applied to the electrodes.

  • Patent number: 5809408
Abstract: A gain switching circuit comprises first and second gain stages connected in parallel between the input terminal and the output terminal, and a control unit for allowing the first and second gain stages to be selectively operative, wherein the first and second gain stages respectively include input sections in which input impedance values viewed from the input terminal are substantially equal to each other, and output sections in which output impedance values viewed from the output terminal are substantially equal to each other. By this configuration, a gain switching circuit and a radio apparatus using such a gain switching circuit adapted so that input/output impedance does not fluctuate are provided without implementing switching between gain stages.

  • Patent number: 5498851
Abstract: A pulse laser beam of energy distribution having a plurality of peaks is generated (e.g. having a TEM.sub.01 mode or greater) and is directed onto an optical system. The system combines beam-condensing optical elements and multi-beam-splitting prism elements so that the peaks of energy distribution in the laser beam mode fall correspondingly on the cut surfaces of each of the multi-beam-splitting prism elements. Each of the condensing and splitting elements may either be of transmission or reflection type, and further they may be of separate or integral type. Fresnel lenses or meniscus lenses may be used as beam-condensing optical elements. As a result, a plurality of pulse laser beam-condensed spots are produced.
