  • Publication number: 20120194537
Abstract: System and methods are provided for performing saturation adjustment of one or more pixels. In one embodiment, an input color value of a pixel is received. The input color value includes an input saturation component. An adjusted color value is extracted from a predetermined look-up table that maps the input color value to the adjusted color value, the adjusted color value having an adjusted saturation component that is different from the input saturation component. The adjusted color value is output.

  • Publication number: 20120162396
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for converting a two dimensional (2D) image for three dimensional (3D) display. In one embodiment, a minimum depth for the 3D image is set to pixels in a bottom portion of the received 2D image. If the 2D image includes an object limiting the maximum image depth, then the maximum depth of the 3D image is set based on a location of the object in the 2D image. If the 2D image does not include an object limiting the maximum image depth, then the maximum depth of the 3D image is set to pixels in a top portion of the 2D image. A continuous depth function is generated from the minimum depth to the maximum depth and is used to generate a stereoscopic image from the 2D image.

  • Publication number: 20090011392
Abstract: A set of word cards for teaching students specific words in preparing for the SAT. These word cards provide a method of learning SAT words by utilizing a word's part of speech, definition, spelling, and usage in a sentence. The cards assist a student in self-learning as well as self-checking when learning words. The matching letters on either side of the word cards provides a way of self-checking. The answer is found by matching the letters on one side of the word card with the letters on the reverse side of that same word card.

  • Patent number: 7170485
Abstract: A method includes providing a capacitor to maintain a terminal voltage of a pixel cell near a predetermined voltage. A memory is provided to store a digital indication of the predetermined voltage, and during a refresh operation, the digital indication is converter into an analog voltage to update a charge on the capacitor. A light modulator cell includes a pixel cell, a capacitor, a memory and a digital-to-analog converter. The capacitor maintains a terminal voltage of the pixel cell near a predetermined voltage, and the memory stores a digital indication of the predetermined voltage. The digital-to-analog converter converts the digital indication into an analog voltage to update a charge on the capacitor during a refresh operation.

  • Patent number: 7126592
Abstract: A controller to programmably provide stored values of drive control data (e.g., a ramp value) to a display device. Using the stored values of drive control data, modulated signals, such as pulse width modulation waveforms may be formed to digitally drive display elements of a display device, as an example. In a display refresh period, a first count indicative of a modulation characteristic may be compared to a stored value that corresponds to the first count. This comparison may determine an update for a second count indicative of a display data characteristic based on the stored value. Because only unique stored values may be stored in a programmable storage device, such as a look-up-table, a relatively smaller number of table entries may be stored and programmed in one embodiment. This may substantially reduce the size of the look-up-table and significantly decrease programming time and effort.

  • Patent number: 6597372
Abstract: A method includes providing pulse width modulated signals. Each pulse width modulated signal is associated with a different bit, and the bits are arranged in an order to indicate an intensity of a pixel cell.
