    Abstract: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating arthritis, which comprises synthetic polypeptides; injections for preventing or treating arthritis; and a pharmaceutical composition for inducing differentiation of cartilage cells are described herein. Synthetic polypeptides of the present invention consisting of a polypeptide represented by SEQ ID NO: 1 and a polypeptide represented by SEQ ID NO: 2 have activity for recruiting stem cells to an arthritis region, inhibit apoptosis of cartilage cells, and exhibit anti-inflammatory activity and activity for promoting regeneration of cartilage cells. Thus, unlike a conventional arthritis treatment agent, the synthetic polypeptides can improve cartilage damage, can inhibit degenerative changes per se and can, at the same time, exhibit an effect as a stem cell treatment agent, and thereby can be usefully utilized as an arthritis prevention or treatment agent.

The method for manufacturing a bi-continuous composite of a refractory alloy and copper includes: providing an alloy melt swapping (AMS) precursor; providing a copper melt with a temperature in a range of 1085° C. to 3410° C.; immersing the AMS precursor into the copper melt; and removing the AMS precursor from the copper melt. The AMS precursor includes elements having positive and negative mixing enthalpy with copper, respectively. The AMS precursor into which the copper melt is diffused becomes a bi-continuous composite with a first phase formed from the copper and a second phase formed from the AMS precursor.

The present invention may achieve remarkably fast charge/discharge behaviors and exceedingly excellent cycle life characteristics of 10,000 cycles or more even under a current density of 30,000 mA·g?1. Accordingly, the structure of the present invention may implement very rapid charge/discharge characteristics and stable cycle life characteristics while having high capacity by combining the structure with negative electrode nanostructures of the porous graphene network structure, and thereby being widely used in a variety of applications.

The battery is then charged with power output from the HSG while the HSG is rotating by driving power output from the engine.
