Abstract: An absorbent article includes a surface sheet that is a non-woven fabric including a first fiber layer configured from cotton and thermoplastic resin fibers and a second fiber layer configured from hydrophobic thermoplastic resin fibers. The non-woven fabric includes: a first surface that is the surface on the side facing the skin and that is formed from the second fiber layer; and a second surface that is the surface on the side not facing the skin and that faces an absorbent body. The non-woven fabric is provided with a plurality of protrusions protruding toward the first surface and a plurality of recessed sections that are provided between adjacent protruding sections and that are recessed toward the second surface. The protrusions include a gap section facing the second surface of the non-woven fabric.

Abstract: A disposable diaper includes: a first inflected unit formed in an absorber and extending along a product widthwise direction; a second inflected unit formed in the absorber, extending along the product widthwise direction, and positioned towards a rear waistline unit from the first inflected unit; and a crotch unit formed between the first inflected unit and the second inflected unit. The size of the crotch unit along the product longitudinal direction is 30 mm or more and 150 mm or less in the natural state of the disposable diaper.

Abstract: A disposable diaper 10 includes a sheet-like elastic element 100 provided in a rear waistline portion 30. The sheet-like elastic element 100 has a stretching portion 105 that can be stretched in a product width direction W. An absorber 40 includes a low rigidity portion 110, where the basis weight is lower than those in the other parts of the absorber 40 or an absorber core 40a does not exist, and a non-stretching portion 45 that is unstretchable in the product width direction W.
