  • Publication number: 20050203472
Abstract: A wearing article is provided on at least one of front and rear waist covering regions with an indication element adapted to be visually recognized from the outside of the article. The waist covering region provided with the indication element includes a first composite sheet, a second composite sheet lying inside this first composite sheet and the indication element interposed between these two composite sheets. The first composite sheet comprises a first intermediate layer, a first outer layer and a first inner layer while the second composite sheet includes a second intermediate layer, a second outer layer and a second inner layer. The respective layers of the first composite sheet are joined together at joining spots arranged intermittently in a waist-surrounding direction.

  • Patent number: 6846376
Abstract: An apparatus and process for making an elastic composite sheet including a pair of rolls adapted to bond respective surfaces of a inelastic sheet and a elastic sheet and fed together into a nip of the rolls. One of the rolls is formed with ridges while the other roll is formed with grooves and the ridges are engaged with the grooves with spaces left between surfaces of the ridges and the grooves to form the inelastic sheet on its surface with stripe-like crests and flat troughs each defined between each pair of the adjacent crests; and the inelastic sheet is bonded along its troughs to the surface of the elastic sheet.

  • Patent number: 6712921
Abstract: A process for making an elastically stretchable composite sheet that includes an elastically stretchable web and inelastically stretchable web that are bonded together at a plurality of bonding spots. This stock web is stretched in a Y-direction and succeedingly contracted to obtain a composite sheet. The bonding spots are arranged so that each pair of the bonding spots lying adjacent to each other in a Y-direction at least partially overlap each other as one of these adjacent bonding spots is translated in the Y-direction.

  • Patent number: 6686028
Abstract: A hydrophilic elastically stretchable composite sheet composed of an elastically stretchable first sheet and an inelastically stretchable second sheet intermittently bonded to at least one surface of the first sheet. At least one of the first sheet and the second sheet contains hydrophilic material. The composite sheet has a high sweat absorbability.

  • Patent number: 6641902
Abstract: A nonwoven fabric is formed with, in addition to crests of high fibers surface density and troughs of low fibers surface density extending in parallel one to another in one direction, bridge-like regions each extending transversely of this one direction between pair of the crest and the trough adjoining each other, and thereby enables a direction dependency of tensile strength and stretchability to be effectively alleviated.

  • Publication number: 20030090020
Abstract: Component thermoplastic synthetic fiber having inelastic extensibility as well as fiber diameter of 5-20 &mgr;m constituting a fibrous web is obtained by melt spinning a mixture of two or more thermoplastic synthetic resins each having a number-average molecular weight in a range of 20000-150000 at a draft ratio of 200-2300. In the case of the mixture consisting of at least two types of thermoplastic synthetic resin Ra, Rb having number-average molecular weights Ma, Mb, respectively, wherein a ratio Ma/Mb is 1.1 or higher, Ra is of 20-80 wt %, Rb is of 80-20 wt % and a sum of Ra and Rb makes up 50-100 wt % of the mixture.
