  • Patent number: 10224647
Abstract: A wire with terminal includes a wire in which a core is covered with a coating, and a terminal 20 including a wire barrel 24 to be crimped to the core exposed from the coating of the wire and an insulation barrel 26 to be crimped to the coating of the wire. The wire is pulled rearwardly from the terminal. Recesses 26B are provided on a surface of the insulation barrel 26 to be crimped and openings of the recesses 26B are shaped to become narrower toward a rear side. As the wire is pulled more rearwardly, the coating penetrating into the recesses 26B moves rearwardly of the recesses 26B to be compressed and hardened and becomes less likely to come out of the recesses 26B. Thus, impact strength can be enhanced.

  • Patent number: 9570840
Abstract: The present invention concerns a corrosion-resistant terminal (10) before being crimped to an aluminum wire (40) in which a core (41) is covered with a coating (42) and the corrosion-resistant terminal (10) includes a wire barrel (31) to be crimped to the core (41) exposed by removing the coating (42), an insulation barrel (32) to be crimped to the coating (42), and an anticorrosive (50) applied in advance to a surface of the insulation barrel (32) to be held in contact with the coating (40). According to such a configuration, since the anticorrosive (50) is applied in advance to the surface of the insulation barrel (32) to be held in contact with the coating (42) of the aluminum wire (40), the anticorrosive 50 can be filled between the insulation barrel (32) and the coating (42) of the aluminum wire (40) when crimping is performed.

  • Patent number: 9509085
Abstract: A wire with corrosion-resistant terminal (60) includes an aluminum wire (40) and a corrosion-resistant terminal (10) is formed from a base material made of copper alloy. The terminal (10) includes a wire connecting portion (30) connected to an end of the aluminum wire (40). The copper alloy exposed on an end part of the wire connecting portion (30) is covered with an anticorrosive (50). End parts of the base material in the wire connecting portion (30) face inward on an upper surface of the wire connecting portion (30) while winding around the end of the aluminum wire (40). A storage portion (33, 34) is surrounded by the end parts of the base material, and the anticorrosive (50) is stored in the storage portion (33, 34) in a region (R1, R2) narrower than a maximum width region (W1, W2) on the upper surface of the wire connecting portion (30).
