One disclosed kit comprises an implant having a joint head portion, the joint head portion having a generally convex distal surface and generally concave proximal surface, the implant comprising a post portion protruding proximally from the proximal surface, the post portion having a dorsal surface and a ventral surface (which is a plantar surface in the case of a metatarsal bone) and including a first threaded aperture extending therebetween, and a bone screw. The bone screw has a threaded shaft complementary to the threaded surface of the post portion and preferably is configured to provide bicortical fixation of the implant.

Abstract: Disclosed in an orthopedic implant that comprises a spacer portion having a superior portion and an inferior portion, and a staple portion. The staple portion is integral with the spacer portion and comprises a crown portion and first and second leg portions, the first and second leg portions having distal end that converge front the crown portion and that are composed of a material that has superelastic properties at body temperatures, whereby the first and second leg portions are configured to impart a compressive biasing force when the implant is installed with the legs under tension.

Abstract: Features are disclosed for providing notifications or recommendations to users based on user profile information and digital content the user is watching. In some implementations, a user can be watching a television program on a network enabled television. The systems and methods may determine characteristics of the television program and obtain user profile information. The systems and methods then may analyze the determined characteristics and user profile information to determine an association between the user and an item of interest in the television program. The systems and methods then may generate and provide a notification relating to the association to the user. Optionally, the systems and methods may also provide one or more recommendations to the user based at least in part on the determined association.

Abstract: A tape measure with a dial for storing a particular measurement value is provided. The present invention consists of a housing containing an extensible and retractable roll of measuring tape and a dial disposed on the outer face of the housing. The dial is used to store a measured value so that it can be remembered at a later time. Worksites are often noisy places filled with distractions, making it very easy to forget or misremember a measurement. When an individual forgets a measurement they are forced to either guess at the measurement value, potentially resulting in wasted materials and money, or re-measure the article, wasting valuable time. The present tape measure circumvents these problems by providing an easy and intuitive means for storing a numeric value while measuring so that it can be used for later without the user having to risk misremembering the value.
