  • Patent number: 10886160
Abstract: An electronic device, e.g. an integrated circuit, includes a semiconductor substrate having a top surface and an area of the semiconductor substrate surrounded by inner and outer trench rings. The inner trench ring includes a first dielectric liner that extends from the substrate surface to a bottom of the inner trench ring, the first dielectric liner electrically isolating an interior region of the inner trench ring from the semiconductor substrate. The outer trench ring surrounds the inner trench ring and includes a second dielectric liner that extends from the substrate surface to a bottom of the outer trench ring. The second dielectric liner includes an opening at a bottom of the outer trench ring, the opening providing a path between an interior region of the outer trench ring and the semiconductor substrate.

  • Publication number: 20200398433
Abstract: A method is provided for calibrating a manipulator and an external sensor. The method includes generating a first cloud map using depth information collected using a depth sensor, and generating a second cloud map using contact information collected using a contact sensor, which is coupled to an end effector of the manipulator. Thereafter, the first cloud map and the second cloud map are aligned to recover extrinsic parameters using the iterative closest point algorithm. The depth sensor is stationary relative to a base frame of the manipulator, and the depth information corresponding to a rigid structure is collected by capturing depth information from multiple vantage points by navigating the manipulator. The contact information is collected by moving an end effector of the manipulator over the rigid structure.

  • Publication number: 20200390249
Abstract: A booster seat can be configured to be adjusted from a full or home booster configuration to a travel configuration or a backless booster configuration. In the full configuration, the booster seat can include a seat base, a seat shell movably coupled to and configured to recline with respect to the seat base, a seat back removably coupled to the seat shell, and soft goods that cover portions of the seat back and the seat shell. In the travel configuration, for example, the booster seat can include the seat back and soft goods without the seat shell and the seat base. In the backless booster configuration, the booster seat can include the seat base and the seat shell without the seat back (e.g., decoupling the seat back from the seat shell). Multiple modes of the booster seat allows for continued use of the seat as the child grows and when travelling.

  • Patent number: 10163680
Abstract: A method of forming an IC includes forming a buried layer (BL) doped a second type in a substrate doped a first type. Deep trenches are etched including narrower inner trench rings and wider outer trench rings through to the BL. A first deep sinker implanting uses ions of the second type with a first dose, a first energy, and a first tilt angle. A second deep sinker implant uses ions of the second type with a second dose that<the first dose, a second energy>than the first energy, and a second tilt angle<the first tilt angle. The outer trench rings outside and inner trench rings are dielectric lined. The dielectric lining is removed from a bottom of the outer trench rings. The outer trench rings are filled with an electrically conductive filler material that contacts the substrate and fills the inner trench rings.

  • Patent number: 9430021
Abstract: A battery management system/method implementing optimal dynamic battery charge/discharge cycling is disclosed. The system utilizes a power source control unit (PSCU) to selectively switch a power supply source to a battery charger that charges a battery servicing a portable computing device. The PSCU is controlled by a power monitor control unit (PMCU) that monitors the battery state and determines the optimal charge/discharge profile for the battery. Depending on the type and current condition of the battery as well as battery charge/discharge history, the PMCU monitors the historical, current, and/or anticipated demand activity of the battery to determine an optimal charge/discharge profile for the battery to enable maximum battery life under a wide variety of environmental and use profiles. Present invention methods control battery charge/discharge activity based on computing device historical/anticipated use characteristics, battery chemistry, and/or optimal battery lifecycle operation.
