  • Publication number: 20110178915
Abstract: A post-trade monitor receives feedback in the form of drop copy messages from an exchange server and validates orders placed with the exchange server by a sponsored access trading platform shortly after the orders have been placed. If a recently placed order is found to violate a rule or regulation, the monitor instructs the trading platform to change to a more restrictive trading mode, such as to cease placing all orders or certain types of orders, at least until certain parameters are met. A library provides an interface in a sponsored access trading platform between a client application program that generates proposed orders and an exchange server. The library provides pre-trade validation of the orders and sends only validated orders to the exchange server. A network enables monitors, trading platforms and libraries to share information about customers' trading activities and locally recalculate customer trading limits resulting from these trading activities.

  • Publication number: 20110084463
Abstract: An extended crank system for a bicycle or similar crank driven system has frame with a bottom bracket and a pair of cranks operatively connected to opposite ends of the bottom bracket. A chain ring is operatively connected to one of the cranks. A crank hub is rotatably connected to each of the cranks and extends away from and is substantially parallel to the bottom bracket. A pair of crank extensions is connected to the crank hub, and a pair of crank extension hubs is connected to the pair of crank extensions. Additionally, a pair of crank followers is pivotably connected to opposite ends of the crank extension hubs at respective first ends of the crank followers, as well as pivotably connected to opposite ends of a top bracket mounted to the frame above the chain ring and behind the seat post, at respective second ends of the crank followers.

  • Patent number: 7661690
Abstract: A cycle with a mechanical advantage drive and leaning steering system comprises a frame with at least one wheel rotationally attached to the frame. A drive rim is attached to the wheel adjacent to the outer circumference of the wheel. A pulley is rotationally attached to the frame. A belt is trained around and engages both the pulley and the drive rim. Because the belt is positioned at the outer circumference of the wheel a mechanical advantage is created that significantly reduces the amount of force required on the belt to propel the cycle. The cycle may be steered via the rotation of the rider's body on a seat. This rotation translates to rotation of a front portion of the frame with respect to the a rear portion of the frame about a pivoting interface portion, thereby causing the cycle to turn.
