  • Patent number: 11771965
Abstract: Disclosed herein are embodiments of iron-type golf club heads that comprise weight reducing features in the topline region of the club head that facilitate changing the Z-up location of the club head. In some exemplary embodiments, the body comprises a weight reducing feature in a topline weight reduction zone of the club head that extends over the entire face length from the par line to the toe portion ending at approximately the Z-up location of the iron type golf club head. The weight reducing feature results in a mass savings of about 2 g to about 20 g, and a Zup shift of about 0.5 mm to about 2.0 mm.

  • Patent number: 11745065
Abstract: Iron-type golf club heads are disclosed having a heel portion, a sole portion, a toe portion, a top-line portion, a front portion, a rear portion, and a striking face. The iron-type golf club heads include a localized stiffened region that is located on the striking face of the club head such that the localized stiffened region alters the launch conditions of golf balls struck by the club head in a way that wholly or partially compensates for, overcomes, or prevents the occurrence of a rightward deviation. In particular, the localized stiffened region is located on the striking face such that a golf ball struck under typical conditions will not impart a right-tending sidespin to the golf ball.

  • Patent number: 11739452
Abstract: Thermally stable absorbable fiber populations, i.e. fiber populations that do not undergo thermally induced crystallization, can be intermixed to yield a stabilizing effect without altering morphological properties of a first fiber system. By addition of a stabilizing fiber population one may minimize thermally induced shrinkage and maintain physical properties of electrospun materials in the as-formed state. In one particular abstract, medical barrier materials may be formed from the electrospun materials to provide improved medical barriers for treatments.

  • Patent number: 11736471
Abstract: A system for communicating with multiple vehicles or other electronic devices that share a common media access control (MAC) or other address is disclosed. Upon receiving a certificate signing request (CSR) from a connected device and determining that the device does not have a unique address, the system will generate a unique address for the device and embedding the unique addresses in a certificate, sign the certificate, and transfer the certificate to the device. Then, when the system communicates with the device, the system may use that unique address to identify the device.

  • Patent number: 11723689
Abstract: A surgical access system comprises a trocar, an insufflating optical obturator slidably insertable into the trocar, and a laparoscope slidably insertable into the obturator. A distal end of the obturator comprises a tip, at least a portion of which comprises a wall with a generally uniform thickness comprising a transparent material. At least one vent hole disposed at the obturator tip is fluidly connected to a gas flow channel defined by an interior surface of the obturator and the laparoscope, which is fluidly connected to an insufflation gas inlet disposed at a proximal end of the trocar. Improved optical characteristics of the trocar system permit precise and accurate visual placement thereof into a body cavity. Accordingly the access system is suitable as a first entry surgical access system. Embodiments of the trocar access are also useful for drug delivery, and/or for fluid and/or tissue aspiration.

  • Publication number: 20230220198
Abstract: Porous and microporous parts prepared by additive manufacturing as disclosed herein are useful in medical and non-medical applications. The parts are prepared from a composition containing both a solvent soluble component and a solvent insoluble component. After a part is printed by an additive manufacturing process it is exposed to solvent to extract solvent soluble component away from the printed part, resulting in a part having surface cavities.

  • Publication number: 20230131767
Abstract: An iron-type golf club head where a ratio of a maximum toe height of the iron-type golf club head to a blade length of the iron-type golf club head is greater than zero and at most 0.62. A maximum thickness of the front portion, along the strike face, corresponds with a location toeward of a geometric center of the strike face. The thickness of the front portion, at the geometric center of the strike face, is less than the maximum thickness of the front portion. A coefficient of restitution (COR) of the iron-type golf club head is at least 0.818 and at most 0.830. An entirety of the sole is rounded along a plane parallel to the strike face, and a radius of curvature of the sole, along the plane parallel to the strike face, is no more than between, and inclusive of, 100 mm and 275 mm.
