  • Publication number: 20240175340
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and system for predicting a time-varying principle of waterflooding oil reservoir formation parameters. Firstly, a T2 spectrum-pore size relation model is built according to a measured pore size distribution curve and a measured T2 spectrum. A T2 spectrum of a rock sample at different water injection amounts during a waterflooding physical simulation experiment is acquired. The acquired T2 spectrum at different water injection amounts is then converted into a pore size distribution at different water injection amounts, and a pore network model at different water injection amounts is built with the pore size distribution. Oil-water two-phase flow simulation is performed, and a corresponding oil-water two-phase relative permeability curve of the rock sample at different pore volume (PV) multiples is obtained eventually. The oil-water two-phase relative permeability curve is the formation parameters in the waterflooding oil reservoir.

  • Publication number: 20230183884
Abstract: CRISPR/Cas9 is becoming an increasingly important tool to functionally annotate genomes. However, since genome-wide CRISPR/Cas9 libraries are mostly constructed in lentiviral vectors, in vivo applications are severely limited due to difficulties in delivery. Here we examined the piggyBac (PB) transposon as an alternative vehicle to deliver a guide RNA (gRNA) library for in vivo screening. Although tumor induction has previously been achieved in mice by targeting cancer genes with the CRISPR/Cas9 system, in vivo genome-scale screening has not been reported. With our PB-CRISPR libraries, we conducted an in vivo genome-wide screen in mice and identified genes mediating liver tumorigenesis, including known and novel tumor suppressor genes (TSGs), Our results demonstrate that PB can be a simple and non-viral choice for efficient in vivo delivery of CRISPR libraries.

  • Patent number: 10360004
Abstract: A system, method and computer program product to refine an original complex CFG into a simpler CFG showing interesting paths and reducing interfering paths with dynamic input for the state of program. The method receives/encodes dynamic user input in the form of annotations which encodes user's special interests or knowledge of the program at run time, e.g., some assumptions of any variables appeared, which can be equations of variable and value or relationships between variables. The method then simplifies all the branching points in a generated AST (Abstract Syntax Tree) whenever possible by querying a SMT (Satisfiability Modulo Theories) solver with branching condition and the user annotations and by evaluating immediate values of expressions or eliminate unreachable parts in the CFG. Finally, the method generates a simplified CFG by simplified AST. This can assist a programmer to understand the code and facilitates correlating different basic blocks under a same scenario.
