The hand held device includes display logic operable to determine that a communication includes displayable content. The hand held device further includes a projector in communication with the display logic. The projector is operable to project the displayable content onto a surface. The hand held device further includes a camera in communication with the display logic. The camera is operable to capture an image of the user. The displayable content and the image are utilized for a video communication.

The wireless device includes display logic operable to determine that displayable content is available to the wireless device. Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosed invention include a body heat sensing control apparatus and method for automating features of an electronic device based on detection of a user's body heat. For example, in one embodiment, a data processing system is disclosed having a heat sensing mechanism for detecting the body heat of a user. In addition, the data processing system includes a data storage component for storing computer executable instructions and a processing unit for executing the computer executable instructions for enabling a user to configure one or more functions associated with the data processing system that are triggered in response to detecting the presence or absence of the user within the proximity of the data processing system using the heat sensing mechanism.

Abstract: The illustrative embodiments described herein are directed to a system, method, and apparatus for signaling a weather condition. In one embodiment, the system may include an optical network terminal. The optical network terminal may include a communication port adapted to be coupled to a fiber optic cable. The communication port may be further adapted to receive data that indicates a weather condition via the fiber optic cable. The optical network terminal may also include an output unit, in communication with the communication port, adapted to send a signal in response to the communication port receiving the data that indicates the weather condition.

A selection of a user is received for the remote user to communicate with through the video conference. An invitation is sent to the television forwarding device. The invitation being configured to prompt the user to accept implementation of the video conference. The video conference is implemented between the remote user and the user in response to the user accepting the invitation.

Abstract: A system and method for reducing unwanted telemarketing calls may include storing a contact list for users of a telephone assigned to an associated telephone number. An incoming telephone call from a caller may be intercepted and a determination may be made as to whether the caller is in the contact list. In response to determining that the caller is in the contact list, the incoming call may be connected to the telephone assigned to the called telephone number. Otherwise, in response to determining that the caller is not in the contact list, the caller may be prompted with an audible message, and, in response to the caller responding to the audible message by entering a first response, the incoming call may be blocked from connecting to the called telephone. Otherwise, in response to a second response, the incoming call may be connected.

Abstract: A system and method for establishing connection of an IP telephone to a network may include, in response to receiving a registration request from an IP telephone, generating a command to cause network access devices to ping the IP telephone. The command may be communicated to the network access devices. Ping information may be received in response to the network access devices pinging the IP telephone. A network access device may be selected that has the highest quality network access path to the IP telephone. In response to selecting the network access device that has the highest quality network access path, a network address of the selected network access device may be communicated to a network device to enable the IP telephone to communicate with the selected network access device. Credentials may be communicated to the IP telephone to register with the selected network access device.
