Abstract: An audio processing apparatus and an audio processing method are described. In one embodiment, the audio processing apparatus include an audio masker separator for separating from a first audio signal an audio material comprising a sound other than stationary noise and utterance meaningful in semantics, as an audio masker candidate. The apparatus also includes a first context analyzer for obtaining statistics regarding contextual information of detected audio masker candidates, and a masker library builder for building a masker library or updating an existing masker library by adding, based on the statistics, at least one audio masker candidate as an audio masker into the masker library, wherein audio maskers in the maker library are used to be inserted into a target position in a second audio signal to conceal defects in the second audio signal.

Abstract: An expandable portable bag has a bearing plate section, an expandable peripheral side section, eyelet holes, control draw cords, bendable sections and a pull control and carry section to enable the portable containing bag form to be expanded. The portable containing bag can be directly used as a resting mat for a pet or the mat for people for the purpose of playing, resting and warming when the bag is at the expanded state. The bag has the advantage of easy cleaning. The bag significantly improves the practicability and advancement of the containing bag product in terms of the usage function and value.

Abstract: The present document relates to audio signal processing in general, and to the concealment of artifacts that result from loss of audio packets during audio transmission over a packet-switched network, in particular. A method (200) for concealing one or more consecutive lost packets is described. A lost packet is a packet which is deemed to be lost transform-based audio decoder. Each of the one or more lost packets comprises a set of transform coefficients. A set of transform coefficients is used by the transform-based audio decoder to generate a corresponding frame of a time domain audio signal. The method (200) comprises determining (205) for a current lost packet of the one or more lost packets a number of preceding lost packets from the one or more lost packets; wherein the determined number is referred to as a loss position.

Abstract: Embodiments of client device and method for audio or video conferencing are described. An embodiment includes an offset detecting unit, a configuring unit, an estimator and an output unit. The offset detecting unit detects an offset of speech input to the client device. The configuring unit determines a voice latency from the client device to every far end. The estimator estimates a time when a user at the far end perceives the offset based on the voice latency. The output unit outputs a perceivable signal indicating that a user at the far end perceives the offset based on the time estimated for the far end. The perceivable signal is helpful to avoid collision between parties.

Abstract: An unfoldable portable pet bag has a bearing plate portion, extensible peripheral portion, lacing holes, control pull-cord, flexible portions and pulling and lifting portions. The portable pet bags can be unfolded and directly used as a mat for pets. Moreover, the unfoldable portable pet bag is flat when it is unfolded, enabling elimination of blind corners and making it easier for cleaning and drying. When pet owners plan to take pets with them, the pets could step into (or be carried into) the bearing plate portion. Next, the extensible peripheral portion can be quickly converged into a vertical framed body via upward pulling of said pulling and lifting portion. This could completely solve the problem of pets getting stuck when they're put into or taken out of the pet container, making it more convenient, quicker and safer to carry the pets with multiple functions.

Abstract: Embodiments are described for harmonicity estimation, audio classification, pitch determination and noise estimation. Measuring harmonicity of an audio signal includes calculation a log amplitude spectrum of audio signal. A first spectrum is derived by calculating each component of the first spectrum as a sum of components of the log amplitude spectrum on frequencies. In linear frequency scale, the frequencies are odd multiples of the component's frequency of the first spectrum. A second spectrum is derived by calculating each component of the second spectrum as a sum of components of the log amplitude spectrum on frequencies. In linear frequency scale, the frequencies are even multiples of the component's frequency of the second spectrum. A difference spectrum is derived subtracting the first spectrum from the second spectrum. A measure of harmonicity is generated as a monotonically increasing function of the maximum component of the difference spectrum within predetermined frequency range.

Abstract: An exemplary computer implemented graphics-based Web search system includes a search input control and a results presentation control where the search input control is configured to receive user input to establish a relationship between a query and one or more information tags associated with search results provided by a search engine in response to the query and wherein the results presentation control is configured to re-order the search results in response to the relationship. Such a system allows a user to define and refine search intent and enhance the user's search experience. Various other exemplary systems, methods, devices, etc. are also disclosed.

For example, a document that is pertinent to a topic is selected based on searching, using a key phrase, a plurality of documents. A subtopic referenced in the document is identified. A feature of the subtopic is identified based on the document. A rating of the feature of the subtopic is determined based on the document. Using at least one processor, a sentiment of the document is determined based in part on the feature and the rating of the feature.

Abstract: A heat-dissipating and fixing mechanism of an electronic component includes a heat-dissipating element, a circuit board and a thermally-conductive adhesive interface. The circuit board has multiple insertion holes. The pins of the electronic component are inserted into corresponding insertion holes of the circuit board. The thermally-conductive adhesive interface has a first surface bonded with the heat-dissipating element and a second surface bonded with the electronic component. As a consequence, the electronic component is fixed on the heat-dissipating element through the thermally-conductive adhesive interface, and the heat generated by the electronic component is transmitted to the heat-dissipating element through the thermally-conductive adhesive interface.
