    Abstract: In a method for measuring brain free water content, in response to an RF excitation field generated on the basis of a magnetic resonance fingerprinting sequence and applied to the brain, an equilibrium magnetization mixed term (M0) signal is acquired from radiation emitted by each excited voxel of the brain, to obtain an M0 value of each voxel of the brain; a receive coil sensitivity (RP) value of each voxel of the brain is acquired; the M0 value of each voxel of the brain is divided by the RP value of the corresponding voxel to obtain a proton density (PD) value of each voxel of the brain; a PD value of cerebrospinal fluid is taken to be a reference PD value; and the PD value of each voxel of the brain is divided by the reference PD value to obtain the free water content of each voxel of the brain. The method advantageously increases the speed and accuracy of measurement of brain free water content.

    Abstract: Passive monitoring the integrity of current sensing devices and associated circuitry in GFCI and AFCI protective devices is provided. A protection circuit interrupter employs a capacitively coupled noise signal obtained by an arrangement of one or both of line side arms relative to a Rogowski coil. The noise signal is monitored while the line and load sides of a protective circuit interrupter are disconnected, and the connection of the line and load sides disabled if the noise signal fails to correlate sufficiently to a reference noise cycle. When the line and load sides are connected, the RMS value of the observed current signal is monitored such that the line and load sides are disconnected if the observed current signal fails to meet an RMS threshold. The observed current signal is compensated by subtracting the reference noise cycle prior to monitoring for the fault condition applicable to the protective device.

    Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to multi-phase training of machine learning models using weighted training data. In some embodiments, a computer system may train a machine learning classification model in at least two phases. During an initial training phase, the computer system may train an initial version of the classification model based on a training dataset, applying equal weight to the training samples in the training dataset. The computer system may then generate model scores for the training samples using the initial version of the classification model. Based on these model scores, the computer system may generate, for the training samples, corresponding weighting values. The computer system may then perform a subsequent training phase to generate an updated version of the classification model, where, during this subsequent training phase, at least some of the training samples are weighted using their respective weighting values.
