  • Patent number: 4875074
Abstract: A picture image recording apparatus includes an image-forming device for forming a light-shielding image on a light-transmissive sheet, an exposure device for exposing a photosensitive recording medium to light through the light-transmissive sheet to form a latent image corresponding to the light-shielding image on the photosensitive recording medium, and either a control device for controlling the image-forming means to form a light-shielding image on a next light-transmissive sheet area to be exposed, during exposure operation by the exposure means, or a standby device for holding the light-transmissive sheet with the image formed thereon in a standby condition. While the photosensitive recording medium is being exposed to light through the light-transmissive sheet, a next light-shielding image to be exposed can successively be formed on the light-transmissive sheet. Therefore, the time required to record picture images can be shortened.

  • Patent number: 4864362
Abstract: A photo-pressure sensitive sheet cartridge includes: an outlet from which a photo-pressure sensitive sheet is drawn out; a lid which closes the outlet in order to exclude the outer light; and an opening and closing lever for operating the lid to be opened or closed. When a sheet of photo-pressure sensitive paper is drawn out of this cartridge, the lid is opened in order to prevent the microcapsules on the sheet from being ruptured by pressure. While the photo-pressure sensitive sheet outside the cartridge is being exposed to light on a determined area in the copying machine, the lid is closed in order to prevent light from entering the cartridge.

  • Patent number: 4801976
Abstract: According to the present apparatus, a photo-pressure sensitive paper includes thereon a chromogenic material and photo-sensitive composition etc., and microcapsules which cure in response to light. The paper is fed onto an exposure table. The unexposed microcapsules on the paper are ruptured so that the chromogenic material and photo-sensitive composition etc., which flows therefrom reacts with a developing agent provided on either the paper or a transfer sheet where the image is formed. Responsive to the detected magnification during exposure, the paper is exposed from the leading edge thereof.

  • Patent number: 4758108
Abstract: A printer, including a first and a second feed mechanism supported by a carriage for feeding a print ribbon and an erase ribbon, respectively, at least one rotatable shaft supported by the reciprocating carriage rotatably in opposite directions, a one-way clutch for transmitting the shaft rotation in one of the opposite directions to the first feed mechanism, and inhibiting transmission of the rotation in the other direction, and a control mechanism for inhibiting transmission of the shaft rotation to the second feed mechanism when the printer is in a printing mode, and transmitting the shaft rotation to the second ribbon mechanism when the printer is in a correction mode, whereby the carriage reciprocation activates the first and second feed mechanisms. A converter may be provided for converting the shaft rotation into movements of a ribbon lift to shift the erase ribbon between an erasing and an inoperative position.

  • Patent number: 4725157
Abstract: In a printing device according to the present invention, a housing assembly comprises a pair of housings which are rockably supported, with their respective open end portions abutting against each other. A platen is disposed in an abutment region where the open end portions abut. A keyboard is provided on the one housing, while a printing element is disposed inside the other housing. When the printing device is in a nonusable position, the two housings extend along one plane, thus defining a flat, rectangular outline of the housing assembly. When the device is in a usable position, the housings are rocked relatively, thus defining a substantially L-shaped outline of the housing assembly. As the housings rock in this manner, the printing element is brought to a printing position, where the element faces the platen.

  • Patent number: 4714943
Abstract: An imaging device wherein a latent image is formed on a photo and pressure sensitive recording sheet by exposing a light thereon and the latent image is then developed by applying a pressure thereon. The degree of pressing is automatically and/or manually controlled so as to obtain a visible image of stable color deepness and of good quality.
