  • Publication number: 20080070066
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a magnetic recording medium of the present invention includes a magnetic layer forming step in which a drying process is performed. The drying process includes: a pre-heating stage in which a magnetic coating film is heated until the surface temperature of the magnetic coating film stops rising and reaches a substantially constant temperature; a constant rate drying stage that is performed after the pre-heating stage in which the surface temperature of the magnetic coating film is held substantially constant; and a falling rate drying stage that is performed after the constant rate drying stage in which the surface temperature of the magnetic coating film is increased to be higher than the surface temperature during the constant rate drying stage to harden the magnetic coating film. The constant rate drying period in which the constant rate drying stage is performed is 0.2 seconds or more.

  • Publication number: 20070151546
Abstract: A vehicular transmission includes a gear-change mechanism section that shifts power from a driving source and outputs the power to an output shaft; and a hydraulic system that supplies hydraulic pressure from an oil pump to the gear-change mechanism section via a check valve. The check valve includes a cylindrical valve case in which a passage is formed, a valve stored within the valve case so as to be freely movable in an axial direction of the valve case, a valve seat that is formed at one end portion of the passage in the valve case and that closes the passage when the valve sits thereon, a spring for urging the valve so as to sit on the valve seat, and a spring seat fixed on an axially opposite side of the valve seat in the valve case to support the spring.

  • Publication number: 20060092547
Abstract: A recording/reproducing method and a recording/reproducing device for magnetic tapes are less involved displacements between recording track and reproducing head even upon changes in the widthwise size of the magnetic tape, and capable of recording and reproducing data without causing errors, thus being ready for recording density enhancement of magnetic tapes. In both data recording and data reproduction, the tension of the magnetic tape is controlled so that absolute values of displacements between a pair of servo heads and a plurality of servo tracks corresponding to these servo heads are minimized.

  • Patent number: 5227424
Abstract: A rubber composition for tire treads is disclosed which is designed to exhibit high resistance to skidding on wet, icy and snowy roads. A selected rubber blend of styrene-butadiene rubber and natural rubber and/or polyisoprene rubber is combined with a selected carbon black of specified specific surface areas and also with a selected softener of specified viscosity-gravity constants. The styrene-butadiene rubber consists essentially of two styrene-butadiene block copolymers each having varied styrene and vinyl contents and a specified transition temperature width, one block having a higher glass transition temperature than the other.

  • Patent number: 4819704
Abstract: A radial tire wherein part or the whole of the blocks present on the tread area have an angle .theta. of the direction in which the maximum shear rigidity is attained relative to the circumferential direction of the tire in the range of 40.degree..ltoreq..theta..ltoreq.75.degree., the direction in which the maximum shear rigidity of said block is attained and the direction of the cords of the outermost belt layer are opposite to each other with respect to the circumferential direction of the tire, the ratio of the maximum shear rigidity of said block to the minimum shear rigidity of said block is in the range from 1.4 to 1.8, and the total area of the block is 65% or more based on the total area of all the blocks.

  • Patent number: 4748168
Abstract: Rubber compositions suitable for tire treads are disclosed. Starting rubbers made up of at least one SBR of -20.degree. C. to -40.degree. C. in Tg and at least one SBR of lower than -45.degree. C. in Tg are blended with specified amounts of carbon blacks having a N.sub.2 SA of more than 120 m.sup.2 /g and of softeners having a VGC of 0.90 to 0.98, whereby the compositions are provided with a storage shear modulus of less than 500 MPa at -30.degree. C. The compositions are excellent in friction performance, abrasion resistance and low-temperature resistance.
