  • Patent number: 7304451
Abstract: A motor control apparatus capable of expanding a voltage output and a modulating wave signal generating method for a PWM inverter apparatus of the motor control apparatus, which is controlled by a pulse width modulating signal obtained by comparing a modulating wave signal of a voltage instruction with a carrier wave are provided. An upper limit value calculation unit 105 and a modulation wave limiter unit 4 are provided, and an upper limit value 14 of a modulating wave, which is equal to or smaller than the maximum value of the carrier wave and equal to or larger than the minimum value of the carrier wave is produced in the upper limit value calculation unit 105 and modulating wave instructions 13 for a plurality of phases are corrected by the modulating wave control unit 4 by using the upper limit value 14 of the modulating wave.

  • Patent number: 7068526
Abstract: A PWM inverter with a PWM pulse output. The PWM pulse signal is output upon magnitude comparison of phase voltage commands with a carrier wave of a triangular or a saw-tooth waveform. A maximum phase whose absolute value is a maximum among absolute values of phases of the phase voltage commands is selected. In a case where the phase voltage commands of the maximum phase are larger than a maximum value of the carrier wave. A difference obtained from a first subtraction of the maximum value of the carrier wave from phase voltage commands of the maximum phase is set as a first differential. The first differential is subtracted from the phase voltage commands of the respective phases in a second subtraction. The first and second subtraction results are set as phase output voltage commands of the respective phases.

  • Publication number: 20060119105
Abstract: A power controller 5 calculates the induced voltage or rotor magnetic flux from the output voltage and the output current of a generator 3, estimates a shaft speed of the generator 3 from the phase of the induced voltage or the phase of the rotor magnetic flux, and calculate the output of a windmill 1 from the estimated value of the shaft speed and the output of the generator 3. As a result, since the output of the windmill 1 can be calculated without requiring a speed sensor for detecting the shaft speed of the generator 3, it is possible to accomplish simplification of circuits, reduction of cost, and high reliability.

  • Publication number: 20050128777
Abstract: Transition from a sinusoidal wave voltage output to a six-step voltage output involves problems that smooth mode switching is difficult and that switching processing becomes complicated. The present invention provides a PWM inverter having PWM pulse output means (2) for outputting PWM pulse signals upon magnitude comparison of phase voltage commands with a triangular carrier wave.

  • Patent number: 6242885
Abstract: A three-phase-to-two-phase converter detects two-phase currents of three-phase stator currents, converts the stator currents into a &ggr;-&dgr; coordinate system to derive a &ggr;-axis current and a &dgr;-axis current. The &ggr;-axis current, the &dgr;-axis current, and voltage command values outputted respectively from a &ggr;-axis current controller and a &dgr;-axis current controller are entered to a stator current and induced electromotive force estimator, which determines estimated values of the stator currents and estimated values of an induced electromotive force in the &ggr;-&dgr; coordinate system.
