  • Publication number: 20040229508
Abstract: Therein is provided with a connecting structure to the shield case of an apparatus so that a number of the connector parts are decreasing and that connecting operation is facilitated. The connector includes a insulative first housing fixed in a state of being inserted into a through hole, a first terminal held by the housing to face the through hole and connected to the electric circuit. The second housing of the electric wire side is fitted to the first housing. The second terminal is connected to the first terminal. Sealing rings are provided between the outer periphery of the housings and the through hole on outer-periphery of the housings so that the bracket fixed to the shield case is electrically connected to shield layer of the shield electric wire. A connecting member electrically connects the bracket and the shield layer outside of the second housing.

  • Patent number: 6773296
Abstract: A connector includes, a wire holder having an arcuate outer-surface-side half member to which an outer surface of a bent part of a wire is fitted; an inner-surface-side half member to which an inner surface of the bent part of the wire is fitted; and an unification holder for holding both half members in a united condition. When the outer-surface-side half member and the inner-surface-side half member are held in a state in which the member are united with each other in such a way as to sandwich the wire, the wire is arcuately bent by fitting between both the half members. Thus, the wire can be held in a state in which the wire is bent with a predetermined curvature.

  • Publication number: 20040099428
Abstract: A shielding member is configured by connecting an intermediate shielding member which can collectively enclose regions of a plurality of wires excluding terminal portions in a state where the regions are bundled, to a terminal shielding member which is larger in diameter than the intermediate shielding member, and which can collectively enclose the terminal portions of the wires in a state where the terminal portions are spread apart. The portions of the wires excluding the terminal portions are enclosed by the intermediate shielding member which is relatively thin, and hence the space required for laying the wires can be reduced. Since the terminal portions of the wires are enclosed by the terminal shielding member of a larger diameter, the shielding member can cope with the case where the terminal portions of the wires are laid while being laterally spread.

  • Patent number: 6719575
Abstract: In a state where a lever 20 is situated at its wait position in order to fit the present lever-type connector A with its mating connector B, the projecting end portions 22A of the arm parts 22 of the lever-type connector A projected from the operation part 21 face downward. In the two right and left end portions of the lower surface of a connector housing 10, there are disposed impact receive portions 19 which, in a state where the lever 20 is situated at its wait position, are projected downwardly of the projecting end portions 22A of the arm parts 22. When the lever-type connector A drops down in the posture that the projecting end portions 22A face downward, the impact receive portions 19 firstly collide with a drop surface G, so that most of the drop impact is received by the impact receive portions 19.

  • Patent number: 6716071
Abstract: A terminal fixtures of a molded connector has a device connection part and a wire connection part connected with an electric wire. A circular outer covering is provided at a terminal end of the wire connection part and the electric wire. A circular outer covering is fit into a circular mounting hole of a case of an external device, and the device connection part is connected to a device body within the case by resin molding. Since the center of the connection part is aligned with the axial center of the electric wire and the axial center of the outer covering, the connection part passes through the center of the mounting holes.

  • Patent number: 6702612
Abstract: A bus bar to be inserted in a circular through hole provided in a casing and connecting terminals provided inside and outside the casing has a circular section in a portion passing through the through hole. The outer periphery of the circular section is covered with a grommet having a circular section, and the ratios of the grommet in vertical and transverse directions are equal to each other. Accordingly, when a bus bar body including the bus bar and the grommet is fitted in the through hole, the grommet has compression ratios equal to each other in the vertical and transverse directions. Consequently, the fitting portions of the bus bar and the grommet uniformly come in close contact with each other, and a sealing property can be fully maintained in the fitting portions of the grommet and the bus bar.

  • Publication number: 20030119351
Abstract: An equipment-mounting wire harness for mounting on equipment, which includes a shield casing for accommodating a plurality of equipment-side terminals. The equipment-mounting wire harness includes a plurality of wires and metal terminals. Each of the metal terminals includes a terminal connection portion for connecting to the equipment-side terminal and a wire connection portion for connecting to the wire. The wire harness further includes a connector body, a seal ring, a tubular shield member, a tubular shield member and a shield shell. The connector body can be fitted into the mounting hole and is molded to embrace the wire connection portions. The seal ring seals a gap between the connector body and an inner surface of a mounting hole of the shield casing. The tubular shield member collectively covers the wires in a surrounding manner. The shield shell secures an end portion of the shield member to the shield casing.

  • Patent number: 6540568
Abstract: Upon coupling a shield connector 10 to a partner-side connector 50, the cam followers 37 of the shield connector 10 are made engage with the cam grooves of a lever 56 provided at the partner-side connector 50, and the lever 56 is rotated. Then, the shield shell 55 covering the outer surface of the tip end side of the terminal housing tube 52 moves into the fit-in portions 15 of an inner housing 12, so that the belt portions 19B of belt-shaped elastic pieces 19 are applied with a force directed to the inner side of an inner housing fit-in hole 34 due to the sliding-contact resistance between the belt-shaped elastic pieces and the shield shell 55. However, according to the embodiment, the sliding-contact resistance acts as a force of pulling the belt-shaped elastic pieces 19.

  • Patent number: 6528727
Abstract: An underlying member 40 provided in a shield connector is fixed to a shielded wire 20 by caulking a first barrel portion 41 thereof, and fixed to a small diametered portion 31 of a rubber plug 30 by caulking a second barrel portion 42 thereof. Because the rubber plug 30 is thus fixed to the underlying member 40, the rubber plug 30 is made immovable with respect to the shielded wire 20 and will not drop out from an electric wire insertion inlet 18. With this structure, the rubber plug holder required in the related-art structure is unnecessary. Thus, the number of the components can be reduced and the assembling workability is improved.
