Abstract: A method and device is disclosed for measuring one or more physical properties of, and/or induced by, out-gassing products released from and/or trapped within a joint in response to a lightning strike or other electrical current threat. A device for measuring one or more physical properties of, and/or induced by, gases, plasma and/or particles released from a joint in response to an electrical current threat. The joint includes a fastener passing through a structure so that an end of the fastener protrudes from the structure. The device includes a containment member having a base surrounding an opening into a cavity, the containment member being arranged to be mounted over the end of the fastener to enclose the end of the fastener within the cavity and to seal the opening; and one or more sensors arranged to measure physical properties of gases, plasma and/or particles contained by the cavity.

Abstract: An automatic injection device for delivering a dose from a medicine containing syringe includes a housing for containing the syringe, a force applicator for applying a force to eject medicine from the syringe, a trigger coupled to the force applicator for releasing the force applicator to cause an injection, a boot covering a needle attached to the syringe to protect and maintain sterility of the needle, and a mechanical interlock. The mechanical interlock prevents actuation of the trigger prior to removal of the boot. When the boot is removed, the mechanical interlock allows for actuation of the trigger.

Abstract: An injection device comprises a housing (101) to (104) containing a syringe (24). The contents of the syringe (24) are viewable through a window (14) in the mid-section (102) of the housing. The window (14) is concealed by a slideable shutter (12). The slideable shutter (12) is biased by a bias spring (22) which also biases an internal syringe carrier. Also disclosed is a reversible needle cap which operates initially to cap the front end of the housing and, upon removal thereof, pulls a needle sheath (30) off the syringe needle (26). The cap is designed to be reversible so that, after use, it can be reversed and reconnected to the housing to cover the exposed needle.

First and second textured surfaces are provided for making contact with the skin, with the surfaces being moved to create a stimulus which alleviates the perception of pain. The movement may be linear, rotary or a combination of both, and just a single textured surface may be provided.

The method includes receiving at least quoted prices and/or executed prices, and using them to calculate a settlement price of CDSs in a portfolio. The calculation of the settlement price may also consider other information, such as recovery rate, hazard rate function, etc. The invention also may include an electronic trading platform that is fully integrated with a central counterparty clearing facility for CDSs.
