  • Publication number: 20030035982
Abstract: A hybrid power device having three electrodes and a method for fabricating the same are provided. The hybrid power device includes a lithium secondary battery and a supercapacitor in a cell and has three electrodes. The three electrodes have a common electrode including a positive electrode of the lithium secondary battery, which is as the positive electrode of the supercapacitor, a negative electrode of the lithium secondary battery including lithium metal and the other electrode of the supercapacitor. This hybrid power device is superior to that of a lithium secondary battery, and further is more economical and practical than a case where a lithium secondary battery and a supercapacitor are individually fabricated and used as a hybrid.

  • Publication number: 20020114128
Abstract: The redox supercapacitor of the present invention utilizes a conducting polyaniline doped with lithium salt, protonic acid, or nucleophilic dopant for fabricating an active electrode, thereby reducing a surface resistance and simplifying fabrication steps. The redox supercapacitor includes a positive electrode plate incorporating therein an electrode active material provided with a polyaniline powder doped with a lithium salt, protonic acid, or nucleophilic dopant, a negative electrode plate incorporating therein an electrode active material provided with a polyaniline powder doped with a lithium salt, protonic acid, or nucleophilic dopant and a polymer electrolyte membrane disposed between the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate.

  • Publication number: 20020110737
Abstract: The present invention provides a new organic-inorganic (PDMcT+PANI)/V2O5 composites electrode material in which two different organic polymers are intercalated into the V2O5 interlayer, which shows higher discharge capacity than each isolated polymers and V2O5. Therefore, it can be used as a cathode in secondary lithium battery.

  • Patent number: 6309694
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a conducting polymer film including dissolving a lithium salt in an organic solvent; after the lithium salt is completely dissolved in the organic solvent, dissolving a conducting polymer in the organic solvent by adding the conducting polymer little by little in many separate doses into the organic solvent until obtaining a deep blue colored solution; and leaving the deep blue colored solution as it stands over seven days and coating it on a flat surface; and evaporating the solvent from the coated solution. It is possible to work the conducting polymer film in a very thin membrane and to control the thickness as required, since the polymer film can be formed directly from a solution. Furthermore, it is also possible to control the conductivity of the polymer film by varying the type of salts as used and the concentration thereof, and thus its applicability is very diverse as the purpose of using them, for example in electronic/electric components.
